Green Tomato Relish

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
Great tasting recipe...love this recipe to put to use all my green tomatoes..I would like to try and make this with larger slices of tomatoes, onions, and jalapeno peppers and no spices...so it will taste like a favorite catfish resturants relish that I just love.

Tart Lemon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
I did use an ice cream maker - just to speed things up. It was the perfect blend of tart and sweet. Such an easy recipe.

Greek Lamb Kabobs with Yogurt-Mint Salsa Verde

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
I didn't use any vinegar and I simply used skewers instead of trying to skewer them with rosemary. I put the rosemary in the marinade instead. The sauce was delicious.

The spices were good but I needed to add a little balsamic for additional flavour.

Pizza Sauce and Dough

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
This was excellent! we really enjoyed making this from scatch and simply topped it with mozz, tomatoes and fresh basil. Even though it takes a while - it's much better than frozen pizza. In fact, there's no comparison.

I quadrupled the recipe as I wanted to make it for a party. I haven't served it yet but my taste tester says it's excellent - see my photo.

Rhubarb Muffins II

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
I made these for a friend who is lactose intolerant and on a low-sugar diet. So I used Alpro vanilla soymilk instead of buttermilk and Stevia natural sweetener instead of sugar (available from health shops). They came out a little dry but still good.

Chorizo and Lentil Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
I had some kale that I needed to use up and I wanted to use it in something that would do dinner and have leftovers for lunch. I used the advanced search on allrecipes to find this. It was great. I think I overcooked it slightly though - my fault.

I used margarine and topped these with chocolate icing. They were gone in no time! The coffee and cayenne were a nice twist.

Mexican Bean Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
Overall, this is a good base recipe but I added a few more items (celery, carrots, onion and brown rice) to make it as filling as possible. I also added a carton of cherry tomatoes alongside the tinned tomatoes.

Perfectly Moist Irish Wheaten Bread

A very easy recipe. It's only fault was that maybe it was a little too crumbly - making it difficult to butter. Still, very tasty.
