West Yorkshire constitutes one corner of the well-known rhubarb triangle, where farmers are fanatical about their rhubarb - thankfully for the rest of us!

Grilled Beer Chicken

Reviewed on May 13, 2009 by Gail
I don't have a BBQ so I put the whole chicken with the 1/2 the butter/beer mixture in my slow cooker. After about 6 hours I took off the lid and transferred it to the oven to crisp the skin. IT WAS DELICIOUS. Next time I may try another reviewers suggestion of a brown sugar/chilli mixture just to mix up the flavours a bit.

DELICIOUS! thanks for sharing this recipe--I love it, my friends loved it! I have even thickened up the leftovers, added cooked prawns and scallops, and used it as a fish pie! Great recipe!

Smothered Mexican Lasagna

Reviewed on Mar. 9, 2009 by Mintychocychip
This is a nice change from an Italian lasagne. Lighter and spicier using turkey mince it is also good cold. I would recommend serving some Doritos or other corn snacks with the salsa though to provide some alternative texture. Crusty bread is also good. Altogether, a 'keeper'.
