Incredible seafood, top quality beef, lamb and pork products, luscious fruits and cordials are only a few examples of the excellent homegrown ingredients on offer. Just thinking about the best of British food will conjure up some incredibly delicious images in your head: a piping hot steak and kidney pie; a spicy, fragrant Indian curry; magnificent desserts like Sussex Pond Pudding served with copious amounts of custard.

A quick and easy bread which rose well. I think I might add some rosemary when making again, Thanks Patricia.

Janine's Best Banana Bread

Reviewed on Nov. 15, 2009 by KEZ
I really like the fact that this recipe uses basic storecupboard ingredients and only a small amount of butter. This is a very moist bread which toasts beautifully. I'm going to try making in mini loaf tins next for gift baskets for my neighbours. Thankyou Janine.

Spicy Vegan Potato Curry

Reviewed on Nov. 15, 2009 by KEZ
Without a doubt the best vegetarian curry I've tried. I started off with half the recommended amounts of spices and then added more after tasting. I also only used half a can of coconut milk as anymore might have made the sauce too sloppy for my daughter's taste. A definite make again for me. Thanks Megan Lee.
