Incredible seafood, top quality beef, lamb and pork products, luscious fruits and cordials are only a few examples of the excellent homegrown ingredients on offer. Just thinking about the best of British food will conjure up some incredibly delicious images in your head: a piping hot steak and kidney pie; a spicy, fragrant Indian curry; magnificent desserts like Sussex Pond Pudding served with copious amounts of custard.

About me:
I was born in Moldova, an ex-USSR republic.I got married in the US 3 years ago, and here started my culinary journey. My husband is of Indian origin and there was a lot for me to experience. Although I had been cooking since the age of 15, I had little exposure to the outside cuisines. My mom was a cook herself for many years, and when she changed jobs, I had to take over cooking for the family here and there. I still remember my first black and white cookbook which had plenty of eastern European recipes that I used in my cooking. Funny things, I used to get angry with anybody who called the dishes I made otherwise than the names in my cook book.

Chicken and Dressing Casserole

Reviewed on Jul. 24, 2008 by VITOMOJO
I really enjoyed this meal, as did my family. It was incredibly easy to make, really gooey and tasty. I used chicken broth, just because I use that in almost everything as a substitute for water, and added some salt and pepper to the soup mixture, other than that I followed the recipe to a tee. Thanks for this, it is a definite keeper.

Carrot Cake III

Wow - the cake was simply the best I've ever tasted! The icing was too sweet for me, but that's just personal preference. 5 STARS!
