French Onion Soup V

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2006
Lovely soup. For a change try replacing the white wine with red, it adds even more depth. Also a dash of worcestershire sauce adds a lovely subtle kick.

French Onion Soup III

I love frnch onion soup. This recipe was improved by adding some red wine in place of some of the broth, it gave it more depth. Also a dash of worcestershire sauce can add an undefinable kick - try it! Gruyere is definitely the best cheese to use for toasts!

I love these mussels. Sometimes for a change and an asian twist I omit the parsley, bay leaf and thyme and add lemmongrass, ginger, chilli and lime juice - gorgeous!!!

These are gorgeous, definitely use the brown sugar it caramelises to counteract the saltiness of the bacon!

These are AMAZING. I made them for a recent buffet feast we had at our home and EVERYONE loved them. I ended up having to print out copies of this recipe. I left off the frosting too as they are already just super sweet and pretty by themselves.

Water Chestnut Wraparounds

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
This is my FAVOURITE appetizer recipe and often make them just for myself! I allow thw w/chestnuts to soak in the soy for a little while and also use brown sugar. Just a tip - to make the (streaky) bacon go further, stretch the rashers out with the back of a knife before wrapping, it also cuts down on crisping up time!!

Peanut Butter Brownies I

I've made this recipe two nights on a row now. I needed something to make tht was quick and easy and had the ingrediants for as shoppimng day is two days away! the second time I made it it was far better, used only one egg instead of two and added the cocoa that was mentioned here. Had to cook it for 35 minutes and it turned out great.

My boyfriend loved it, I not so much! I don't like salmon at all so don't take my dislike seriously. Had to use English mustard as we don't have dijon so I only used a teaspoon. Aded chili powder to add a little more flavor and alot more pepper. Will cook again. Thank you for posting this recipe.

Blue Cheese, Bacon and Chive Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2006
I made these last night and took note of some of the other reviews. To soften the strong flavour of the blue cheese, I added some soft cheese with chives. Instead of the chives I used the greeen parts of a bunch of scallions for a more oniony flavour. Served them with Scallion mash, green beans and gravy. Very good recipe!
