Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2001
Maybe it´s just me, but I followed the cooking instructions and my first batch got burned, so I lowered the temperature to 350 and baked my second batch on the upper rack, these were ready in 8 minutes flat. I really expected more after reading the reviews, but I found the taste is not as SUPERB as I thought it would be, the cookies are good, but not ALL THAT.

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2001
WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL!!!! what a hit, they dissapeared sooooooooo fast, no one could believe these were homemade, they looked really good and tasted like heaven, I did cut down on the mayo as suggested and added a little bit more smoked bacon and swiss, EXQUISITE. Oh and I also used my biscuit recipe (doubled) for this, and I got 40 servings, and I still got some filling leftover which I used mixed with some italian style tomato sauce for dinner with penne. THANKS!!! Moshi

Aunt Johnnie's Pound Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2001
I really expected an outstanding result from the reviews but the cake was kind of bland and I think it overcooked cause it was really dry, my hubby had to wash it down with some milk. It tasted good though, but still not what I expected and I did follow the recipe as is.

Very good basic gnocchi recipe, I had a little trouble kneading the dough, added some salt and pepper when kneading, the results were AWESOME, served with Cuattro Fromaggi Sauce (Four Cheese sauce) and it was a hit at my dinner party!!!

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2001
This was really good. The crust was very easy and the aroma that filled my kitchen was out of this world. Oh and that taste, wholesome goodness. I would recommend this to anyone, the recipe is perfect as is. The only thing I added was some melted caramel when I took the cake out of the oven and drizzled it all over. TWO THUMBS UP!!!! -- Moshi

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2001
Amazing!!!! Rich, delicious, maybe a little bit on the salty side, but OH SO GOOOOOOOOD!!! I used Campbell´s Cheddar Cheese Cream instead of the soup called for and turned out JUST GREAT. I also omitted the onions on half of the recipe because my picky husband wont eat them. Will definitely make these again and again and again, only variation will be that next time I will use twice the milk the recipe called for. THANKS for the awesome recipe...... Moshi

Cheesecake Topped Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2001
I didn´t like these brownies-cheesecake at all, as another reviewer said they were not a brownie nor a cheesecake, they were a mess to cut out. To my taste they were too sweet, my husband and brother said they were good, but still ... they´ll eat anything!!!, in my opinion this recipe is way overrated. Moshi

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2001
These were good but definately not "to die for", the batter was not delicious, but quite plain. You don´t want to fill the cups to the edge unless you want all your muffins to stick to each other, I mixed half the batter with black raspberries and the other half with coconut, they turned out pretty good. This cake was OH SO GOOD!!! Made it on Saturday for Father´s Day, it was a sure hit, I used Amarula liqueur (South African) gave it a twist and tasted wonderful, also I used chocolate chunks instead of the chocolate chips the recipe called for, it turned out fantastic, next time I´ll use Bailey´s. YUM YUM, thanks for the WONDERFUL recipe. This was definately the best chocolate cake I´ve ever tasted or made. Moshi

YUM YUM YUM, this was EXCELLENT, I used it for a 4lb. chicken, I prepared it 24 hours in advance and let it rest in the fridge in a ziploc bag, I also stuffed it with some extra fresh rosemary. It turned out to die for, truly delicious, and the smell filled my house, it was great. thanks.

Butter Balls II

Mmmmmmmmmm!!! Nice texture, soft and sweet buttery cookies that will melt in your mouth. I really liked this cookies, extremely easy and non-time consuming. I divided the dough into two pieces and rolled one batch in coarsely chopped pecans and the other in gourmet white sugar. They looked beautiful, just be careful NOT to handle this cookies until they have completely cooled, or they will crumble in your very hands. Very good recipe, thanks for sharing!!! Moshi

Pistachio Bread

Deeeeeeeeeeelicious!!!!!!! so moist and colorful, I just loved it, and so did everyone who tasted it. I added an extra 1/2 cup chopped marraschino cherries to the mix. After that I made a cheese & cherry frosting with an 8oz. package of cream cheese, 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/3 cup margarine, softened it all up, beat it until well incorporated and then added 1/2 cup pureed marraschino cherries, it made a beautiful soft pink frosting, topped with some more cherries and VOILA!!! the flavor mix was great, thanks for sharing such a delicious recipe. Pasta With Tuna Sauce

Reviewed: May 15, 2001
This was a great time saver, I got home and was in a hurry, so I took some pasta and canned tuna out of my pantry and VOILA!!! I omitted the parsley (my husband doesn´t like it), used garlic olive oil, substituted the crushed tomatoes for tomato and herb concentrated sauce and the result was the best tuna spaghetty sauce EVER. I really enjoyed it and it smelled sooooo good while simmering. GREAT recipe, thanks for sharing! Moshi
