Tomato and Basil Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
SCRUMPTIOUS!!! A true HIT with the family. I did change the recipe a bit. I used my own biscuit recipe for the pie shell, baked it for 10 minutes before adding the fillings. I diced my tomatoes instead of slicing them, used fresh basil and sauteed the floured tomatoes/basil mixture with salt, pepper and powdered garlic, until golden. I also added 1 cup of chopped premium smoked bacon, which I cooked after removing the tomato mixture from the frying pan. I used two cups of shredded cheese (1 cup mozarella + 1 cup Gouda)one cup for the bottom and another for the top (combined). And the last change I made is that I used plain creamy yogurt instead of the milk. I had to bake mine for 35 minutes for it to be ready, it looked amazing. I CAN´T WAIT TO DO IT AGAIN!!! THANKS SOOOO MUCH!!!

Cheesecake Supreme

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!! Followed recipe exactly but varied the cooking time and temp as suggested by others. First I made the crust and baked it for 10 minutes. While it cooled, I made the filling with all my ingredients at room temperature, first beat the cheese until fluffy, then added the eggs and egg yolks one by one, mixing well after each addition. Then the sugar mixed with the flour, and finally the cream. Then poured it on my prebaked crust, placed it in a waterbath and ended up baking it at 400 for 10 minutes and then at 200 for 3 hours, then turned the oven off and cracked the door semi-open for another hour, then straight to the fridge for 24 hours, served it with butterscotch morsels sprinkled about and drizzled some butterscotch caramel over before serving. YUM!!!

YUMMY!!!! I made this stuffing to fill a pack of HUGE portobello mushrooms, the result: Gorgeous looking, mouthwatering, deeeeeelicious entreé !!!! Will definitely be making these again and again! I brushed my mushrooms with oregano olive oil and added some powdered garlic to the cheese mix. Really good! ... next time I will try adding a pack of cream cheese to the mixture to add a bit of creaminess. CAN´T WAIT!

Sausage Casserole

This was very good. My whole family liked it. I gave it four stars because I found it waaaaaaay too greasy, but maybe that´s just because of the kind of sausage I used. Overall it was a great recipe which I will be most definitely making again. THANKS!

Good but has way too much lemon, I´d scale it down to 1/8 cup. I also added more garlic and red pepper. I´ll definitely try it again, this time with a lot less lemon.

Bread was fairly good but it looked terrible when it fell, can´t figure out what I did wrong, but I guess, from other reviews, that it happens to all. Won´t be making it again, at least not for company.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2003
These were FANTASTIC! as close to a Cinnabon as you´ll get. My recipe yieldied 16 rolls and the only thing I wasn´t CRAZY about was the fact that the brown sugar and cinammon mixture didn´t quite melt and the sugar´s texture was too coarse. Gooey, yummy and absolutely satistying, watch out for those calories though!

Carrot Souffle

I made a few adjusments to the recipe, I used butter instead of margarine and brown sugar instead of white (I also sprinkled some on top of the souffle before baking it), also I mashed the cooked potatoes before mixing with the other ingredients, it turned out nice.

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2003
Absolutely the best chocolate chip cookie I´ve ever made!!! Also this is quite a versatile recipe, for I made four different batches and they all turned out fantastic. First I made one exactly as stated in the recipe (I only doubled the amount of vanilla) and my cooking time was 9 minutes flat, these were scrumptious. Then I made another batch without nuts, choc chips or shaved chocolate for my one year old (I did add up 1/2 cup more oats) these were moist, yummy and very healthy. Then I made another recipe without the chocolate shavings which gave me more classic cookies with that homey flavor, awesome. And finally I ommited all chocolates and nuts and added 2 cups of shredded coconut, mmmmmm deeeeeelicious. Thanks for a wonderful recipe now it is a family favorite!

Bread Machine Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2003
This was a nice bread, even though I overcooked it it turned out nice and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. I didn´t have any powdered milk available so I used 1/4 cup of evaporated milk. Also I doubled the amount of garlic and replaced the salt for Garlic & Herb seasoning. VERY YUMMY!!!!!

Very rich but very good!!! I used my own brownie recipe and used only half of the condensed milk called for replacing it with evaporated milk. I also used whipping cream to control the amount of sweetness in it. Overall a very indulging dessert!

Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2003
I was kind of dissapointed after having read all of the wonderful reviews. I followed the steps and my rolls turned out all gooey and uncooked on the bottom due to the caramel. The flavor was very good and I actually think that if cooked without the caramel bottom these could turn out awesome, just save the caramel for the topping as usual.

Creamy Pumpkin Pie

This recipe was excellent, real quick and easy, the only thing that is time consuming, is the pumpkin cooking and mashing. Worth the effort though, the results were great, be sure to serve it with a generous dollop of whipped cream, definitely a crowd pleaser. Thanks for the recipe! MOSHI
