Colombia

Colombia is a country of lush beauty and great diversity. Along the Caribbean, the seaside city of Cartagena is defined by gorgeous Spanish architecture and delicious seafood. Moving inland, you enter picturesque Andean country and the hearty, belly-filling food of country cooks. Colombia produces more varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables than you might think possible. And coffee cultivation, of course, is a major industry.

About me:
As hard as it is to believe I made my first soup when I was four years old. I told our maid that my mom had said I had to make the meal and she believed me. I made an authentic Clombian soup called Snacocho. I have been cooking ever since. I love to bake, especially Colombian, Swedish and French cuisine. I was adopted and my mom is Swedish and my dad is French.

Curry Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed on Dec. 2, 2009 by Silvia Tanner
Those used to eating sweet soups who tried it really liked it. I personally would go without the sugar. I replaced about a third of the half and half with hazelnut milk, and that worked well. It was no to thin. I will try it again with the soy half half and share my experience.

So cool and simple! I had never eaten beet greens before. I love getting to use more of my produce.
