Vanilla Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
A keeper. Delicious and easy. I also used tablespoon instead of teaspoon for the water. I will try it as written sometime. But it was great.

Bananas 'N' Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
Wow! I could eat the entire cake! It is that good. Very moist! I added a small box of Banana Pudding mix and instead of sprinkling the confectioner's sugar I made a Vanilla Glaze from this site.

Italian Beef Hoagies

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
This was very good. I used a bottle of beer instead of water and also used 1 small jar of roasted red peppers aside from the banana peppers. It wasn't spicy... just right. Great served on a toasted bun with melted cheese.

Easy Fusili with Tomato Pesto Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
I loved how easy and fast I was able to make this. I added 1 more clove of garlic, a splash of Shiraz, some Italian seasoning as well as a little basil for added flavor. As for the Pasta, since I didn't have Fusili I used Rotini. It was delicious.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Sorry, but even taking the time necessary to marinate this in advance, as some reviewers had suggested, it was just an ok dish. Nothing that stands out. The sauce is good but not enough to make me try making this again.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

I'm a fan now too. Thank you Scotdog for recommending it. I accidentally added 1 tsp. cumin instead of 1/2 but it was still very good.

Bread Machine Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
This was very good. I didn't have any "flat" beer. I didn't even know how to make it go flat since I tend to consume it before it ever gets to that point. LOL! I used room temperature beer that I had left opened for 15 minutes. I found out later that shaking a bottle before opening it would make it go flat. Too late for me this time but great to know it for next time. I doubled the recipe and I was glad that I did because it was yummy.

Easy Pizza Sauce I

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
I thought this sauce was very good. I reduced the water by 1/2 cup and I should have reduced the oil down too because it was too much. I added one more clove of garlic. I'll still recommend and be using this again. It's a keeper. Thanks!

Crusty and delicious. Very easy to make in the Bread Machine. I think I'll be increasing the salt just a tad next time though.

Garlic Creamed Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
I made a few minor changes. I seasoned the chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder. I browned it a little in a skillet with 1/3 cup of butter. Washed and sliced some fresh mushrooms and once I removed the chicken breasts to the baking dish I cooked the mushrooms in the butter in the same skillet. I then poured 2 cans of mushroom soup, the sour cream and about 1 cup to 1 1/4 milk instead of adding cream cheese. Poured that over the chicken and baked. It tasted great.

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
Excellent. I made just a few changes but it still turned out great. I used regular mushrooms b/c I didn't have any Portobello. I also used Frozen Shrimp that was peeled and devained already, thawed. I think I'd like to try it with another type of pasta like Linguine or Fettuccine. This one is a keeper. Thanks!

Tar Heel Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
I had to try this one... I love chocolate! Love every ingredient used to make this. The consistency was closest to a moist in the center brownie. I just thought that the recipe was missing something in the presentation aspect. I sprinkled some powdered sugar and cocoa powder and that helped quite a bit. It is different but it is also very good and very rich.

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Delicious! My family has never finished up loaves of bread within minutes before. They turned out beautifully. My shaping skills could improve some but hey, they were gone so fast I barely got enough time to take a picture. I followed the recipe except for using the egg white instead of the egg yolk. Fantastic!

Shrimp Scampi Bake

This was really good and easy. I increased the garlic, and the parsley. I decreased the butter by 1/4 cup. Served over Linguine. I baked for only 10 minutes. It was plenty of time.

Grandma's Secret Pie Crust

Wow! This recipe is excellent. The texture was great to work with and although I wasn't really sure what to make of the vinegar I'm glad that I didn't chicken out because otherwise I would have missed out on this great discovery. It was flaky and delicious. Thank you Felicia.

Bread Pudding Apple Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
I have to admit that I was a little skeptical of this recipe. It was intriguing however because of the combination of apple pie and bread pudding. Two desserts that I enjoy greatly. I used cinnamon apple sauce and added 1/8 tsp. allspice. It was very good. Different because it is more firm like a previous review mentioned, firmer. But still very tasty. I made the crust from this site and it was a great compliment. I used Grandma's Secret Pie Crust recipe.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
I seasoned my pork with salt, pepper, garlic powder and some Montreal Seasoning. Let it marinade in the fridge for 2 days (not on purpose), just running as usual. I actually had a big piece, about 5 1/2 lbs., so I doubled the amount of root beer. I cooked it for about 6 hours and drained it and added a 19 oz. bottle of Jack Daniels BBQ sauce and one of Sweet Baby Ray's. I got the smoky taste of the JD and the Sweetness of the SBJ. It was just wonderful! This one will be added to the rotation for sure! Thank you Lori.

Grilled Asparagus

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
Wonderful and quick way to make Asparagus. Here is how I did this. I added the Olive oil (EVOO), salt, freshly ground pepper and a little bit of K.C. Masterpiece Ginger Teriyaki marinade and the Asparagus in a zipploc bag. Transferred it to a piece of heavy duty foil and folded it so that it would not leak. I folded another piece of foil to the other side just for extra precaution. I grilled it for about 3-4 minutes on the top wrack of my outdoor grill.
