Thanks Rosina for this recipe, I used an extra 1/2 cup of liquid = plain yogurt and 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, other than that no other changes were made, the cake came out good. I used leftover Chocolate Ganache as frosting and really helped. Thanks for sharing.

Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffe

This dish was a hit with my family. I followed the recipe as written, except that I substituted pre-cooked chicken for the crawfish and added three bay leafs and about a half cup of okra. This recipe is a keeper. Thank you for sharing.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
I used this recipe to decorate gingerbread cookies and it turned out well although I modified it for a few reasons: I didn't have access to a hand mixer and I didn't want to have excess frosting. I whisked together 1 cup powdered sugar with about 1/3 tsp of vanilla extract and about 1 tbs of milk. It's a great consistency that won't stick to other cookies once it's set but the weight might flatten your design so keep that in mind. Great basic recipe! I would recommend using this icing with the Butterscotch Gingerbread Cookie recipe by Nestle Toll House - it's a great combination!

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
I totaly disagree with flowersandxandy4me.. Mayo and cream chesse go great together. I make may dips this way. You can also add sour cream with the mixture it changes but makes it even tastier.. I made this for a Christmas party.. My friend could not eat it because she is breast feeding.. (didn't know you coudn't eat cucumber breast feeding) Everyone loved it.. I used fresh dill and seedless cucumbers and added some onions for flaver and crunch also I left the spread in the frig over night.. The best part was the french bread.. Aww I loved it so much I am actually making them again as sandwiches for my birthday 3 days after Christmas.. I am going fishing and can't imagine a better snack.. Yay thank you so much

These bars are delicious, a great caramel treat, although I must admit berry bars are more delicious for me. You can omit nuts and chocolate and they are still very good.
