It was okay...not as moist as I would have hoped for. Rather forgetable. I won't make this one agan.

Creamy Rice Pudding

This is an AMAZING recipe! I put an Asian spin on mine though - I use Jasmine instead of plain rice and substitute coconut milk instead of plain. Yummy!!!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2006
This was exactly as the name suggests - quick, easy AND delicious. But it only took 1 cup of milk... Anyway, I added some crab meat, my husband added bacon. Both were good. This is a keeper.

Burmese Chicken Curry (Gaeng Gai Bama)

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2006
My husband is the curry maker in our household but I decided to make this recipe. I used extra coconut milk, and had to omit the fresh tomatoes since were out. I hate cilantro and left this out too. Likely the biggest change I made was using a slow cooker (quickly browned chicken in skillet first). WE had it over jasmine rice. Turned out very well and my husband was really impressed. Will make this again.

Lamb L'Arabique

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2006
We had some lamb and I was craving something Middle Eastern. My husband selected and prepared this dish (finally followed a recipe without modifications!) as we had the ingredients on hand. I thought that it was really good although the flavour could have been even more intense. I thought that apricots or some other dried fruit would be a nice addition. I thought that it warranted a 5 but he said only 4 stars (he made it!) - I suspect it's because he's not a big fan of lentils and chick peas! Hopefully he makes this again!

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2006
I'm sorry but this recipe was awful. I made several modifications suggested by other reviewers including adding bay leaves, brown sugar, ginger, red wine vinegar and reducing soya sauce. Served it with jasmine rice which was the hi-light of the meal! Used dark meat and while it was very tender, the taste was terrible - we could not even finish it. Won't ever make this again.

EXCELLENT!!! I did reduce the sugar in the apple mixture and made extra topping as suggested by others. This is the perfect apple crisp recipe. I am making it again tonight for my dinner guests. Thanks for a wonderful recipes.

Banana Cranberry Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2005
My husband (who hates cranberries!), loved this recipe. I used homemade cranberry sauce (recipe on this site, Cranberry Sauce I submitted by Toni) and while the actual cranberry sauce was excellent, I have to agree with other reviewers that there didn't seem to be enough cranberries. Should consider adding some whole cranberries next time. I substituted margarine for the shortening and made them into muffins instead of loaves. Worked out well.

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2005
I've never made my own cranberry sauce before. I've always used the canned stuff. I thought I would give this a try since I like to know exactly what I'm eating (I don't trust labels!!). This recipe was perfect - exactly what I expected. Perfect combination between sweet and tart. And SOOOO easy to make!!! This will be my 'forever recipe' for cranberry sauce!

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2005
This soup was great. It was my first time cooking with butternut squash. I roasted it prior to adding it to the soup for a bit more flavour. In the end, it was super thick and I had to add LOTS of milk to thin it out. This may because I never measure anything and likely had too much squash (consequently I also added way too much cayenne - opps!). I also didn't have enough cream cheese (i.e. only half), but it still tasted great. I will make this again.

It's simple, it's GREAT and it's yummy. I myself like them as tea biscuits. They're excellent, not strong or overbearing. Thank You for Sharing this one.

Green Banana Fries

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2005
This is an excellent french fries substitute. I am not a banana person I don't like the flavor at all. These taste like french fries if you get the small green bananas. I know some people can't have potatoes ie arthritis or just dieting. It's worth it. They may seem a little more dense but add a dash of salt and they'll be gone really fast.
