Group Effort Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
Yum! Sauteed the veggies lightly, just until spinach was wilted. Didn't have white cheddar, so just substituted & sprinkled grated parm cheese. Good easy recipe for a quick dinner.

I WAS surprised how delicious this rice was! I served it with teriyaki chicken & really enjoyed it. Did not change the recipe at all.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
This is now one of our favourite ways to prepare chicken. Thanks for such a great, simple recipe. I followed some of the other reviewer's suggestions and cooked boneless skinless at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Came out very tender and not dry at all. Thanks again.

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
So good! Very rich, "fancy" dinner that will impress! I sauteed mushrooms with the onions & used dried tarragon (all I had on hand) turned out delicious. Will use fresh next time and try adding the white wine as per other reviewers.

Semmelknoedel (Bread Dumplings)

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2008
So delicious! Thank you! Like other reviewers I thought that the they might turn out bland (the recipe list is deceiving) but they were perfect. I didn't have any fresh parsley so I used some dried rosemary instead. Very good and served them as a side to Dijon Tarrogon Cream Chicken on this site. If you are using that recipe be sure to add mushrooms. Thanks again!

Very good, fresh salad. Added a dash of olive oil and chopped fresh oregano. Sop up the oil with crusty bread!

I served this as the "drink of the evening" for a personal bridal shower. Did not change a thing and was a big hit. Thanks for the perfect fruity party drink!

I finally made these and was not disappointed! Exactly the flavour I was looking for, thank you! Followed another reviewer's suggestion and added 1/2 tsp crushed red chili flakes. Enjoy with a cold beer!

Browned Butter Vegetables with Almonds

Tasty recipe, way too much butter though. Cut it in half (at least) and you have a super side dish. Thanks!

A Firefighter's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2008
Very moist and tasty meatloaf! I substituted bread crumbs for the rye bread, and added extra mustard along with a dash of hot pepper sauce & worchestershire sauce. Also 'upgraded' to hot salsa and it turned out great. Instead of topping with bbq sauce or ketchup, try this: Mix beef boullion powder with 1 1/2 cups water and pour over top for entire duration of cooking time. When the meatloaf is done cooking, drain it off into small pot and thicken with cornstarch/water mix. Yummy built-in gravy!

Pork and Pepper Stir Fry

This was very good. I normally make chicken stir fry, but now we will be eating pork more often! I added a little oyster sauce, honey & lime juice for more flavour. Thanks for a great recipe.
