Easy Spicy Roasted Potatoes

awesome potatoes. I substituted a package of onion soup mix for the onions. It turned out with crunchy bits of onions. Even my daughter who does not like onions loved it.

5 plus stars!! I skipped the double boiler and just heated in sauce pan instead. It was sooo creamy and delicate along with hard sugary crust. EVERYONE loved it!!

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
5 stars for sure! I made this for my daughters 19th birthday. It was loved by all. As suggested I doubled the sauce which was perfect. I placed in 350 deg oven x 1 hour then took lid off 300 deg x 30 mins. We did not find the pepper was "too spicy".Served with parmesan cheese on the side. It was a hit.

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
This was very good, had to change a couple of things just for personal preference though. We went with rosemary and parm croutons and all I had on hand for cheese was mozza and parm. It was great either way, the longer it simmers, the tastier it gets.

Garlic Cheese Chicken Rollups

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
I made this dish last week for my family and have been asked to make it again EVERDAY. It is sooo easy but is impressive enough for company. I took a previous persons' suggestion and marinated with Zesty Italian Dressing a couple hours before hand. I found you can omit the butter as the crumbs (I used croutons crushed) covered the chicken easily with the marinade. Just make sure you don't over cook the chicken 25-30 mins was ample. A keeper!

Southwestern Caesar Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
My family had this as a quick "lupper" yesterday. It was fast and easy and VERY tastey. Even my son who doesn't much like salads loved it. I used jalapenos for the hot pepper and held the anchovies. I added tinned corn and sliced black olives. It was sweet, salty and spicy. Would be awesome served in a tortilla bowl. mmmmmm next time!

Almond Bear Claws

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
Loved this recipe. I used frozen puff pastry(where you find the frozen pie pastry) It comes in sheets already rolled out, which makes it fast and easy. After baking, I brushed a glaze made with icing sugar/milk and almond flavoring right over the sliced almonds. It was just what they needed for sweetness. My coworkers were calling me at home for the recipe weeks after! An impressive EASY treat. 5+++ stars.

Festive Shortbread

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
Just what a shortbread is supposed to be: not too sweet, and when you break it apart, you can see the flaky layers :) What I liked about this one is that it keeps its shape and crumbles IN your mouth, not before you get it there. And, if you're a clumsy one like me, no worries...when you drop them, they don't break! After years of searching, this is going to be my shortbread recipe. Thanks a lot!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
This is the recipe I've been searching for! I didn't have almond flavouring, but other than that, followed it exactly. I didn't find it needed to be altered, mine came out a perfect consistency. Dipped the shortbread, used a knife to spread it right to the edges, and a paintbrush for the details. As another reviewer said, it definitely goes further than you think it will. This is my staple icing recipe from now on, 5 stars all the way!

Apple Crisp III

Even though my crumble didn't crumble (it was very mushy, kind of sank into the apple part) this was still a good tasting recipe. I might try it again with more flour and a little less butter.

Chicken with Pepper Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2006
This was really really good! Unfortunately, I did have to change part of it even though I hated to. I didn't have flour, so instead of coating the chicken, I flavoured the oil in the pan with salt, pepper, and cayenne, which worked fine. Once the sauce was finished (had to use a little corn starch to thicken), I put my cooked linguini in the pan with the sauce and coated it. I only cook for two so there was a little left over, but my bf took that for lunch the next day and said it was even better. Good man :) When I make it again (and again, and again and...) I think I might try chopped mushrooms in it too.
