Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
These were very yummy! I only left them in the fridge for about 2 1/2 hours and it was fine. I also baked on my STONEWARE and they did stick more than anything I have every baked on there, but, nothing serious and nothing ripped or broke. I did have to bake them about 2-3 minutes longer due to the stoneware too. LOVED THEM!

Whole Wheat Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
Decent recipe. Changed a few things. Instead of honey, I used a blend of white and brown sugar (honey isn't really making the bread all that much healthier anyways). For healthy changes, I added more banana, used applesauce instead of oil, and egg whites instead of eggs. I also added extra spices and put a bit of a crumble on top. Turned out pretty tasty.

Greek Garlic-Lemon Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
These potatoes are definitely a "go to" for our family. We prefer rosemary to the oregano, and I use chicken broth as suggested by another review instead of the water, without adding any additional salt. What a great recipe, thank you!

Turkey in a Bag

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
I have been cooking mny turkeys in a bag sonce before forever. Every year I am tempted to try anothier method, but when it comes down to it, WHY MESS WITH PERFECTION! This is always, always, always good. If you are not interested in displaying the turkey at the table, try roasting it breast side down, You will not believe how wonderful the breast meat becomes. And there is plenty of juice for a wonderful gravy! Try this and I guarantee you will never do it any other way.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2009
I will agree that these are easy - and if you chill the rolled balls, they are a cinch to dip. They are tasty, and my family gave them 4 stars (compared with other truffle recipes we have made).

Apple and Spice Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
I have beenbaking like crazy as i had 40 pounds of apples to get rid of. By far this is the best apple recipe I baked!!!!! I didnt add raisins, but added a 1/4 cup more chopped apples, to die for!!!!! I never added apple juice, it never said when and they still turned out, batter was a thick and a bit dry but once you scooped out and rolled in your palms it worked well, i just smooched the balls a bit and on parchment paper, came out perfect!!!!! took them to work, they were gone in no time, and everyone requested recipe!!! LOVE THEM!!!

Roasted Rack of Lamb

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This is a spectacular recipe. Like several other reviewers I used panko crumbs which turned out very well. I found the mustard worked effectively to 'stick' the crumb mixture to the lamb. With garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted carrots and asparagus topped with feta cheese this rivaled any restaurant meal. Thanks for sharing the recipe Jennine.

Great recipe! I made a couple of changes: doubled the sauce (I like lots of sauce, especially with dishes that are served with rice) and used fresh ginger instead of ground. Very good.

I added flax seeds, dried cranberries instead of raisins, and raspberry yogurt in place of plain and the added white sugar. Even with the substitutions, they turned out really good, and my 2 year old loved them.

So tasty but I will try a full half cup less flour next time as they tasted a bit too much of flour and were too dense and heavy. The flavor is there though, I am just hoping to perfect it :)
