Peppermint Patty Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
Excellent - followed the receipe exactly and the result was delicious! Made one batch with York peppermint patties, and one with Reese peanut butter cups(my husband doesn't like chocolate mint!) - both were yummy!

Slow Cooker Cranberry Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
For me, this combo of flavours is just wrong! I used beef for this, and in my opinion it completely ruined the flavour of the meat. Perhaps pork roast would be better, but I don't think I will be trying it. Very disappointed, as was my husband.

Orange Cream Cookie Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
These turned out great - crispy and chewy! I followed the other reviewers suggestions and added the extra egg, and I reduced the Tang to 1/3 cup - though I thought they could've been more orangey so next time I'll bring that back to a 1/2 cup. I also think they'd be fantastic with semi-sweet chocolate chips - I'm going to try this as well!

Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I would like to say 4 or 5 stars, but it was way too peppery! Unfortunately 1 tsp of pepper took away from an otherwise wonderful soup. I would go with 1/4 or 1/2 tsp next time. And I only used 1/2 tsp of nutmeg which in my opinion was the perfect amount. Otherwise, I did adjust this recipe but pretty much stuck with the general idea. I didn't roast the veggies as I found this recipe while in the middle of baking the pumpkin. I just sauteed everything (added 1 clove of chopped garlic) and added vegetable broth and let that cook for 20 minutes before adding pumpkin and blending with the hand-held blender. Because I'm trying to be good, I used plain fat free yogurt in place of the cream and was still good. I think it would have been extra special with cream and the roasted veggies. This is definitely an excellent soup but I would reduce the pepper!

Loved this recipe! Only thing I did differently and it worked out fine was I used regular yellow onion diced instead of green onion and I didn't have almonds. Yummy!!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
This was very yummy. I only used 2 chicken breasts (just for BF and myself) and cut the cooking time by half. I found the seasoning made it a little on the salty side so next time I think I would just add ranch dressing to the sandwiches. Awesome with lettuce and red onion. You really need a sturdy bread for these though - I used a cheddar/jalapeno baguette.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
a friend gave me this recipe about 12 yrs ago.it is the very best in chocolate cakes in my opinion.u can't do any thing wrong with it.i've made it when i was low on cocoa, another time with only 1 1/2cups sugar, and another time only had 1 egg.it turned out every time.this is a magical recipe.wouldn't try any other. u can't improve on perfection.if some of u haven't tried this i suggest u do, u won't be sorry. i us it to make chocolate trifle, zuccotto, layer it with buttercream, ganache it,or just have it plain, or w/yogurt.thanks shirleyo for sharing .now others can enjoy it as much as i do.5 stars +

just finished eating this dish, it was awesome.i rated it 4 star only because i had to change some of the ingredients, cause i am not able to eat white potato, peppers, so instead i used sweet potato & carrots ..it turned out delicious.i most generaly try a new recipe with out changing anything, then tweak it later if necessary.if i could i would give this 10 stars.leave it to allrecipes folks to come up with dishes i can have with my restrictions.thanksfor your submission Jana.
