MMM mm mm. What a yummy recipe. I always have trouble mixing the flour because I get lumps, any suggestions? but lumps aside, the roux had a lovely taste and the whole process was actually not complicated. Delicious!! The whole family enjoyed it, so much so that they completely ate it before the fried chicken! In this house that's a huge compliment. Definately a must try!

Corn Chowder

The recipe how it's given is great, it's definately a good corn chowder recipe. I'm sure many add cream instead of milk, which may make it heartier, but as is, it's still good! Thanks for the recipe

Classic Macaroni Salad

I used a 1 lb box of elbow macaroni, 1/2 c Miracle Whip light, 1 tsp vinegar, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp mustard, omitted salt, pepper, salt free Emeril's Essence, 2 green onions, 2stalks celery, 1 red pepper, 2 carrots, 2 hard boiled eggs, all finely diced, added FF Ranch and FF sour cream until it was wet enough. Very good, just like Grandma used to make.

Hiyashi Chuka Noodles

I've been looking for a good cheap ramen noodle cold salad and this is the one! I've been on a very tight budget so all I have for it is green onion when it comes to veggies but I decided to try it anyway. Instead of chili oil, I used Sriracha sauce and it turned out beautifully! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!

Lime Gelatin Salad

It's fruity, fluffy and fun. It's not the best gelatin salad I've had, but it's fast, easy and inexpensive to make, making this the perfect salad to feed a crowd. It sets just fine. Note to those who can't buy whipped topping in 8oz containers, 8oz of whipped topping is equal to approx. 3 cups.

Rhubarb Strawberry Jam

Tangy Sirloin Strips

This was absolutely excellent! I had about 1.5 - 2 lbs. of sirloin and followed the marinade recipe exactly (it was enough) and marinated overnight. I omitted the bacon and put onto skewers and cooked in a 350 oven for about 20 min. (they were medium rare). I had to adjust the glaze slightly for what i had on hand (more bbq sauce and only about 1/4 cup montreal steak sauce). I agree with other who said that 1/2 the glaze recipe would be more than ample. Regardless, this recipe is the bomb! The steak was so tender and good, we will definitely be having it again!

Chocolate Syrup

Today was my first time making this syrup and I wish I'd read some of the reviews first, like I normaly do. Oh well...I too had to simmer the syrup for about 20 min. before it showed any signs of thickening. Any ideas as to how to thicken it without boiling it forever and being able to use it the same evening or is it a must to leave in fridge overnight? I'd appreciate any help as hubby's a huge chocolate user. (He's not huge, just his taste for chocolate sauce:)

Orange Chicken

Pretty much followed the recipe except I used fine bread crumbs (all I had) and sprayed the dish with Pam instead of using butter (to cut down on calories). I should have known that baking at 375 for 45 mins would produce dry chicken and it did. Should have baked at 350 for 30 mins instead. Only a faint orange taste, not impressed at all. Even the family didn't care for it so won't be making again.

Cranberry and Cilantro Quinoa Salad

Love quinoa and this was tasty! Swapped out the cilantro for parsley (we don't like cilantro!) and used raisins as I was out of cranberries. I found that leftovers did need some additional lime juice squirted into the salad as it gets absorbed once it sits overnight. Yummy though!

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Very tasty. I added all the dressing to the warm pasta and most of it was absorbed. Perhaps half while warm and other half when cold would work better. I added julienned carrots, diagonally sliced snap peas, water chestnuts and green onions. Loved the cilantro and sesame combo.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Very tasty and simple soup recipe. Reduce the cornstarch to 2-3 tablespoons......just enought to get the desired thickness. I don't like "puddingy" soups so used the lesser amount.
