Fluffy Pancakes

A little thick...had to add more milk, however, other than that, it was a good recipe

Fantastic! It's not too heavy and pleasantly moist. Brought it to a party and everyone loved it! ...add some ice cream and it's even more splendiferous ;)

Quick and Easy Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
Thank you everyone for your reviews on this recipe! If I had followed the recipe exactly, it definitely would have been too spicy for us. I doubled the sauce and only used 1/2 tsp. of pepper. I also substituted teriyaki for some of the soy. Will make again, but probably add some crushed garlic. Thanks for a tasty recipe:)

Quick Turkey and Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
Good flavor! I cooked the rice in chicken stock. I used left-over BBQ chicken, instead of turkey, and added garlic, black pepper, and a shake of dried chiles. We're not big celery fans, but didn't mind it in this recipe.

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
This was my first time trying quinoa, as well. I did not rinse it or soak it and it turned out fine. I did not have veg.broth, so used chicken instead. I also used mixed frozen vegies. I tried kidney beans and pinto beans, in place of the black beans, and agree with other reviewers that it is a little bean-y with 2 cans, and will try just one next time. I liked the suggestion of the tomatoes.

Kolaches II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2008
These were really good! I halved the recipe as there's only 2 of us to eat them, but ended up having a bit of trouble. I needed 3/4c more flour than the recipe called for, though as this is only my second foray into yeast breads, I suspect the fault was with me rather than the recipe. Now that I've figured out the flour issue, I'll definitely make these again. Pretty easy and very delicious.

Delicious! I made two batches, the first with raisins and the next with pecans and they both turned out well :) I did however I did make my own smaller pastry cups and so I didn't leave them in as longs as suggested.

Delicious! I've taken them to a few get togethers now and have received nothing but compliments. I however, doubled the amounts for the top chocolate layer and substituted sliced almonds for walnuts :)

Sour Cream Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 18, 2007
Since this recipe received such mixed reviews I wasn't sure of the a good end result, however I mixed it up and baked it in a 8-inch diameter cake pan and after tooth picking it several times ended up leaving it in for around 15min+ the original time. However it was such a great cake, the icing that goes along with it is complementary and I received compliments on it. So my tip is not using the given time and tooth picking it until it is done.

The cake recipe itself is delicious. I substituted the fruit specified with cooking pears. I made it for a coworkers last day at work and he and everyone else absolutely loved it.
