Simple Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2008
I make this in small scone dimensions for my youth group Sunday School class and they are so excited when they see then scones! The currants go over great and they are always delicious. I now always keep frozen butter in half cup measure in my freezer for this recipe. If you try it with almost frozen butter it melts all over the pan. Frozen is best. Cheese works great to but also melts around a bit. Use parchment paper for easy clean-up.

Tofu Turkey I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
WOW too cool and yummy!! My only problem that I had with the recipe is that since I made this for only my husband and myself I halved the recipe....now if you have a deep narrow collander for the tofu it would be fine but I had a difficult time "stuffing" "the turkey" since it was not deep enough... but my husband was pleasantly surprised by the taste as was I!

I would love to give this even more stars!! I made this as directed but marinated overnight!! WOW what a great flavour! Once again I need to mention be so careful not to overcook your fish...it goes realy fast! and it continues to cook even after leaving the heat!

Butter Bean Burgers

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
these turned out exactly like the picture!! How often does that happen. As for taste, all I can say is that my husband usually will not even look at a bean and so forget eating one!! But....he really really loved these. Make sure that they are nice and crispy on the outside! Yum.... take the chance and make them!

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: May 8, 2008
I doubled the spices. I also added a medium onion, chopped small to the first step with the chicken and Italian dressing. During the last step, I added a package of frozen, broccoli florets. It was quite good.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: May 8, 2008
I made this with some changes. I don't like any "heat" at all, but love lots of flavor. I left out the cayenne and white pepper, but added about 1 teaspoon dryed rosemary. I put the rosemary in a mortar and pestle with the salt (used alder smoked sea salt)and groud both to a coarse powder. OH MY GOSH was it ever good!!!

Hearty Fettuccini Bolognese Sauce

so so so good! Thanks. I made this with chorizo sausage and added a can of tomato paste as well. I made it a couple days before my dinner to let the flavours meld! We loved it with homemade noodles!

Basic Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
I tripled this recipe and am glad that I did! I used my kitchen aide to make fettucini noodles and also let the dough rest about an hour before rolling out. Remember to use extra flour as you roll the dough out so that the pasta does not get sticky. I also let the pasta dry about 1 hr before cooking

Pretty Ham Pinwheels

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
These were really really good! I made some of them vegetarian and then others instead of ham I used smoked diced chicken which I had made. At 1st I was a bit worried about the apple and then I tasted the filling!! Curry, apple and chicken! Can't go wrong!
