I've done my turkey this way for several year and never had a bad one. Always juicy and golden brown.

Land of Nod Cinnamon Buns

Yummy. I couldn't find the rolls so I used one loaf of bread dough. I thawed it in the fridge for a few hours then cut it into about 12 peices, then followed the rest of the recipes exactly as described. This is a new Christmas breaskfast tradition at our house.

Turkey Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
Great recipe - I modified it by using whole wheat spaghetti noodles, broken up, as many as you like - adjust for personal preference, skipped the peas and the gravy mix, but added the turnip/carrot leftovers from the meal, really nice colour and flavour to the soup. Add a bit of peper to taste.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
SO I've made 4 batches already this week. THe last batch I perfected it. I don't know why but the first two batches I used butter instead of margarine and it turned out flat and too soft, almost on the mushy side. Maybe it was the butter and/or the fact that I baked them for 8mins only. The last two batches I used a half margarine half butter product that I bought from the store, and it was much better. I also followed previous advice and put the dough in the freezer for 30 mins, then hand rolled them into balls. I didn't roll them into the sugar either. For my gas oven, 9 minutes was perfect...not too cooked, and not too mushy. In my last batch I used only 3/4 cup of sugar and it was still plenty sweet. Orange juice instead of water was also great advice...brings out the flavour of the spices. Oh, with my older batches that turned out a bit mushy, I froze them, and made ginger cookie ice cream sandwhiches with vanilla icecream as recommended by someone else, and it was a super yummy idea!!!

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
First off let me say " I HATE TO BAKE" because it's sooooo exact. other than tradeing butterscotch for chocolate chips or almond extract for vanilli you pretty much need to follow a recipe exactly if you want it to come out. That being said; this is the best chocolate chip cookie I've made, I did subsitute 1/2 butterscotch chips They came out wonderfull nice flavour and softness. I baked on parchment makes for easy clean up

Bubble 'n' Squeak

A great way to use up leftovers from christmas dinner. You can throw in just about any veg so long as you have the right proportion of potatoes! I think the potatoes should be mashed, not sliced in order to be authentic, so that is what we used, and the result was very good.

Garlic Prime Rib

Perfect small roast for Christmas dinner with the following changes: Used a 1-kg (2.2 lb) prime rib roast, all the garlic but only 50% of all other marinade ingredients, roasted 460 degrees x 7 min, then lower oven temperature to 325 x 1 hour.

Quick and Easy Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
These turned out wonderfully for our Christmas dinner today. Thank you! I have read some of the negative reviews and can only assume those people have not tried yorkshire pudding before - they are supposed to be golden and crispy on the outside and somewhat moist and eggy on the inside, with an empty space in the centre to pour in the gravy. So yorkshire pudding newbies, consider yourself warned -- yorkshire puddings taste eggy!

I have made this dish a couple times, and always receive rave reviews and recipe requests. I only make the following changes: I double all ingredients I use two packages of Yves Veggie Ground Round instead of beef. I add 1/4 cup of Worschestire sauce to the "beef". I use one cup of chopped carrots and 3 cups of frozen veggie stir fry mix. So delicious! Best comfort food ever!

Ultimate Party Meatballs

These were good, but I found that there was no bang to them. I had never tried heinz chili sauce and maybe I was expecting something more spicy and not so ketchupy. I think this is a good base recipe but I would like to add maybe some sweet chile sauce next time and or a chili garlic sauce.

very nice recipe! i will not follow anyone's advice to let pavlova cool overnight again. i burned this twice on xmas day by preheating the oven without looking in the oven. be careful! scraped off the burnt bits from the second one and it was still delicious!
