Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
I have made these twice, and they always turn out dry like all cinnamon buns I make! I dont know if its me or just the cinnamon buns, I want a STICKY, gooey cinnamon bun but cannot find a recipe. I usually add some corn syrup to the cinnamon mix, which runs to the bottom of the pan and when inverted creates a gooey outside.

Buffalo Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
I made these with about half the cayenne as my kids dont like spicy. My son thought I had bought these, and ate half of them! I will try next time with the buffalo sauce and dip in bleu cheese, I am very excited!

Rubbed and Grilled Pork Loin

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
I made this for my parents 25 anniversary. I used a whole pork loin, and I grilled it for 10 min on each side on hot, turned down the heat and put it on the top rack of grill and let it cook for another hour or so. It was tender and juicy, and well liked. The whole loin fed about 50 people.

Bacon Cheeseburger Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
AWESOME! I made it for my sons 12th birthday and everyone thought it was a real cheeseburger! I made the brownie in a round cake pan the same as the bun bottom, and I did not have any caramels or fruit roll ups. I used starbursts (microwaved for 10 seconds and flattened with buttered fingers) for the tomato and cheese, and icing as the lettuce. very good and very rich

Boiled Bagels

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
These bagels are very delicious, but this was my very first attempt at making bagels. Anyone new to making bagels should note that the instructions should mention that the bagels must be placed in the oven immediately after boiling. I didn't have a big enough pot to boil all the bagels at once, so I had to boil them in two separate batches. The first batch that I boiled then left to sit and wait for the second batch came out of the oven very dense and rubbery. However, the batch that went directly from the boiling water into the oven came out wonderfully!

Barbeque Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
Very tasty! I threw it all in the slow cooker on low for 6 hours (as opposed to the oven), and it turned out fabulously!

Peppernuts

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
I absolutely love this recipe! I found it on here a few years ago, and with a few minor tweaks it is the best pfefferneusse I've ever had (the closest to my grandmother's recipe I've been able to find) The changes I made: increase the butter and molasses to 1/2 cup each, and double the cinnamon and nutmeg. Do not, under any circumstances, increase the ginger as it will make your cookies taste soapy. This cookie is great to give away and I get begged for the recipe every year.

Annemarie's Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
This recipe is almost exactly the same as the lemon bar recipe I have been using for years and I love them. The only change that I make is I increase the lemon juice to suit my family's taste (we like LOTS of lemon flavor).

Mahogany Chicken Wings

These were great! The marinade is very rich, but it caramelizes very nicely. These were a hit at our Grey Cup party.

Sesame Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
Wow! These were amazing! The smell of the marinade was incredible, and they were awesome! I made these for a Grey Cup (Canadian Superbowl) party and they were a huge hit. I can't wait to try this marinade with other types of meat. I think it would be great on pork chops.

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding

I'm still looking for that elusive yorkie recipe. This one was close, but they didn't get as big as others I have had. They were nice and hollow though.
