Pace® Spicy Grilled Quesadillas

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
What can I say, it is the same version that we all know how to make. Nothing really new. The fat content is quite high but tastes good. Any salsa will do and you you can add your own veggies as I have done. Shredded carrots for picky children, and zuchini will never be detected in this dish. Add mild salsa for less spicyness. Put a bottle of hot sauce for those who like a kick. I have tried this same recipe with a combination of different cheeses like Jelapino cheese, ranch flavoured cheddar, and mozzerela(sp). All really good. I have also for something different to this basic recipe have used flavoured tortillas. Good stand by! Only 4 stars because it is a stand by recipe.

Barbecued Shredded Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
I cooked this for my husbands family for lunch. This was a very good recipe with simple ingredients found in your pantry. I cooked a 7 pounder slow in the oven over night, midnight until 7am, big mistake!!! I woke up at 4:30am really hungry. The smell in the house was too much for me to sleep through. I laid awake until my kids got up then I had to get the roast out and start to nibble. There was too much liquid but if cooked in the oven it is needed to help keep it from drying out. Mine did on the parts where it stuck out of the liquid. Used some fresh garlic and beef stock instead of water. Might try the crock pot next time. My husband liked the flavour and it looked just like the picture. Very easy.

Aussie Barbequed Boneless Leg of Lamb

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
The lamb tasted great. The BBQ sauce recipe was about twice as much as was needed for the roast. I also found the BBQ sauce was too tart, so I added about 1/2 cup of brown sugar. I cooked it med. rare (145deg) and it was perfect. I will make this again with the marinade, but probably make a different BBQ sauce as it is not really appropriate to for the lamb.

Not so great. Sorry, but it was a bit dry and had little flavour.

Blender Hollandaise Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2009
I will never use a different recipe, this is excellent!! Followed the directions to a t - it's better than the stovetop method for sure. next time i might sub pesto for mustard, since i'm not a huge fan of the vinegary-ness of dijon. thanks for submitting!

Most Excellent Sandwich

It's definitely tasty, I would suggest used herb & garlic, or roasted red pepper flavored cream cheese. Cream cheese AND mozza.. NOT very healthy! drop the mozza and add sliced avocado, s & p.

Queenie's Killer Tomato Bagel Sandwich

really delicious, especially if you add a couple of your favorite veggies: avocado, red pepper, and lettucs. Made my own herbed cream cheese by mixing a softened plain tub with 2tsp milk and a handful of herbs with garlic. thanks~!

This was great. Very important to sweat the eggplant first. I grilled mine on a george foreman, added grilled red peppers and alfalfa sprouts! This is my new go to veggie sandwich, thank!

I'm giving this a four because of the nice cheesy flavour. Beware! this recipe serves eight! Large pots are a must.

Best Ever Banana Bread

This was awesome! Using the reviews, i subbed apple sauce for oil, and plain yogurt for buttermilk, i was very impressed. Will make this again and again, a very easy recipe, with on hand ingredients, thanks! *UPDATE* still the best recipe ever; I now add a dash of vanilla and a pinch of cinnamon!

Artichoke Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
THESE ARE AWESOME!! It's so nice to be able to serve a healthy and equally delicious version of mashed potatoes. The only change I made was to add basil and rosemary to the milk mixture. I only used 1 Tbsp of butter, and a little more on top (i kept it warm and broiled it in the oven). The artichoke isn't overpowering at all, but it definitely gives it a distinct flavor, I will add more next time. A keeper, thanks for submitting!

Spiced Sweet Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I was really excited to try this recipe, but can only give it 3 stars. I used organic tahini which is a tad less viscus, but I felt that it ruined the texture, despite adding olive oil. Also, I had to add much more salt than I expected. Made this in my magic bullet so I could tweak the recipe, and each time I ended up adding more lemon juice as well. It was a little bit too sweet for me, I will attempt again because I LOVE roasted red peppers, but perhaps with fresh lime and crushed red pepper added.

Breakfast Burritos

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
Great base recipe, especially when looking for a breakfast idea! subbed in avocado slices for the bacon, gruyere cheese and extra spicy salsa. To those who complained of too many beans; use your common sense, and fill to personal preference. It's not difficult to gauge when there might be too much of a heavy ingredient.

Garlic and Herb Cream Cheese

great base recipe. i basically used the main premise and added roasted garlic, basil, oregano, thyme, parsley, salt & pepper to taste (much more than the recipe suggests), won't buy flavoured cream cheese anymore. tastes just like herb & garlic cream cheese from tim hortons, yum!

Garlic Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
just had this for dinner and it went REALLY REALLY well! only added a bit of cheese at the end, but make sure to at LEAST quadruple the sauce, or else there won't be nearly enough (becomes evident pretty quickly). Also added a bit of lemon, next time i will throw in some 1/2and1/2 to thicken the sauce. definitely a keeper, thanks for submitting!

Caesar Salad Supreme

really good recipe!! i just used the dressing part to complete my lunch. definitely needs something to make it less viscus, i opted for equal parts mayonnaise and olive oil. also, i used lime because it was what i had on hand, and i think it worked really well. thanks for the recipe, will definitely make again

Emily's Famous Hash Browns

REALLY GOOD for a 1st attempt. A simple recipe I can make from memory. i ended up topping them with a little mozzarella, next time i will add some cheddar to the mixture before cooking. won't make hash browns any other way! edit* on a 2nd batch i made little piles instead of a super hash brown, i much prefer them smaller, more crispy!
