Great easy pesto recipe. I used pinenuts rather than walnuts and it came out perfectly.

this is a lovely recipe made exactly as written. If you are going to change someones recipe to the extent that it no longer resembles the orignal ,then you should rename it and post it as your own. Thankyou Tracy for this addition to my cook book

Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
I had never made ribs before so I made this esxactly to the recepie and decided it was too hot for us and we don't mind food that is reasonably hot. Good idea that can be adapted to ones own liking.

Artichoke Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
I did not like this dish at all. I made it as an appetizer course and felt very apologetic when I served it to company. Used the 6oz jars of artichokes as specified and I hated the sour taste that came over in the first few bites. And the dryness toughened up some of the outer artichoke leaves. I won't bother making it again, even with adjustments, as there are so many other good recipes on this site.

Garbanzo Bean Chocolate Cake (Gluten Free!)

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
with out a doubt the best recipe ever!! I am amazed at how good this cake is. I have served it with greek yogurt - so good. I also made some chocolate custard for the kids to have with this cake as a real treat ( 3 egg yolks, 2 tblsps cornflour 2 tblsp maple syrup 1 tblsp cocoa powder and 3 cups milk) They could not guess the secret ingredient, and I did not tell them until they had eaten it several times and still wanted more.

Blueberry Pound Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
Everybody raved about this cake at last night's dinner for 20. I had only one cup of blueberries, so I added 1 1/2c. raspberries to the mix. You sure have to be very gentle stirring them in but the marbling of colour was very pleasant. I, too, poured a lemon juice/icing sugar glaze over the still-hot-from-the-oven cake. It really does compliment the cake. I had no problem getting the cake out of the pan - I also followed the butter/sugar directions. I did let it sit for about 5 minutes first, though.

Beef Onion Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
Excellent recipe. Very quick and tasty, it's very filling. I followed the recipe to a tee, but added a bit of gravy that was left over. My husband and both really enjoyed this dish. Also made it using left over beef from French Dip recipe from this site. Great.

Fettucine in Creamy Mushroom and Sage Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
This is one of the best fettucine recipes that I have tried for myself! I left out the sage as I'm not really keen on it, but the dish turned out wonderfully - lucky for me because I made the fettucine for company who were coming over for dinner. Deliciously creamy but not too overwhelming. I also used fresh spinach and stirred it in with the mushrooms as the sauce was finishing off. Amazing and simple recipe!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2008
Easy to follow recipe as with some other users I don't have a bread maker so did it all by hand. Wonderful textured bread. As with most kiwi's who are used to a savoury bread we found this too sweet to have with dinner but loved it with jams etc.

Beet Bundt Cake

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
this is an amazing recipe, I made 24 muffin cakes and they were so light and fluffy the best I had ever made, I added a few tablespoons of cocoa to the flour for extra chocolate, but that is just me! I love this recipe.
