I don't know what I did wrong. I don't think it's the recipe that was the problem though. I think I might just leave the cooking to my boyfriend :(

Olympic Gold Medal Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2008
These are the best oatmeal type cookie I have ever baked. I grind the oatmeal in the blender and add ground flaxseed. I reduce the sugar by 45g and use wholemeal flour. Also, I use raw sugar instead of brown and white sugar. Everyone who has tried these cookies loves them. P.S. My oven bakes these in 17min.

Sweet and Sour Pork III

This recipe was better than Sweet and Sour from a restaurant. I made the base of the sauce while the pork was cooking, and thought it tasted too sweet but once we added the vegies it was PERFECT. Thanks!

Yakisoba Chicken

This is an awesome recipe, and has become a family favorite! Instead of chile paste, I use a mild red curry paste, and can't imagine making it without it. This recipe is quick, healthy, makes great leftovers and delicious! Thanks for the recipe.

Bow Tie Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
Thanks so much for this recipie. It sounded a little different, but it turned out really lovely. Next time I might add some sliced red pepper for even more veggies, but it was quick, healthy and very good! The only change I made was seasoning the chicken with lemmon/pepper seasoning that had salt - and omitting the salt later. Cheers!

Sour Cream Pear Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2006
This cake was delicious. A great cake to make that's quick and easy and perfect for an afternoon snack with coffee. I used almonds instead of pecans as I didn't have them. I also used a loaf tin instead of a tube tin so I had to bake a little bit longer for the middle to cook. The cinnamon sugar coating used to greased the tin caramelised slightly which gave it a great texture. Didn't use the caramel topping..I think it's sweet enough.

I've tried a fair few stir fry recipes from this website, and this one had been by far the best. I added chopped water chestnuts, red peppers, and low fat chunky PB to make it a bit healthier. This was great- thanks for the recipe!

Very simple and easy side dish. I used chicken stock instead of beef as I was serving chicken. I fried the onion with some garlic as well until brown and slightly crispy. Delicious.

Grilled Stuffed Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2006
This was a good recipe which I used to base my final dish on. Stuffing chicken thighs is quite difficult, so I pounded the meat first to make thinner and easier to stuff. I also added to the crab mixture, pine nuts, currants bacon and used wholmeal bread crumbs instead. From a similar dish I had made before I combined 1 cup of sourcream with 1/2 tablespoon of paprika and poured over the chicken. I baked in the oven uncovered for 40 minutes. It was great.

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2006
This recipe was delicious. I love savoury dishes which have a sweet and original twist. After reading other reviews I also quickly returned my chops to the pan just to coat in the sauce. I would proabably also add some cornflour next time just to thicken the sauce a bit. I served with a spinach and roasted sweet potato salad. Thanks!!

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
I really liked this recipe and will definately try again. I love salmon and I am always looking a new and different ways to cook. The only thing I did find was salmon was slightly dry. Next time I might try to cover with foil for the first 10 minutes and then baste in some of the juices.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
I thought this recipe was really good. My husband thought it was great, but would have been even better if it had something crunchy in it. I modified this recipe as such: instead of adding the refried beans to the meat mixture, I added a can of mexican black beans with corn- San Antonia mix, as well as some chuncky salsa (left out the tomatoes) as well as adding a packet of taco seasoning per reviewer suggestion. I also spread the refried beans to the tortillas. It was a fun recipe to make as well, and easy to adapt to your own taste.

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
This was a great recipe. My husband and his friend loved it, and said it was the best they had ever had- and my husband has always been a banana bread fan. Following other reviewers advice, I added one cup of white and brown sugar, and added a teaspoon of cinnamon. *The cooking time seemed way too long, my loaf was done in 45 minutes.
