Chocolate Chip Cookie Cream Cheese Bars - 178756 - Recipezaar

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
I absolutely love this recipe. Heavenly! I used the cookie recipe which I added in the notes section but I make sure it's chilled first so I can break it apart like the recipe says to do with the store bought dough. Got to try it! So delicious!

Moose Tracks Ice Cream Recipe - Domestic Pursuits

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
I made this recipe using all full fat ingredients, 1 egg to replace 1/4 cup egg beaters and Nestle Condensed Milk (I find some other brands of condensed milk aren't as sweet) Instead of buying peanut butter cups I made my own using Peanut Butter Bars I from this site and cutting them into small chunks. I also omitted the chocolate chunks and used a homemade chocolate fudge for a more soft consistency rather than biting into hard chunks of chocolate in my ice cream. This recipe is awesome! So good! Yum! Oh P.S. I've never had store-bought Moose Track Ice Cream before so can't compare the recipe with it.

Great! I don't like them too crispy so I cut them with a regular kitchen knife rather than a mandolin or the food processor blade. I reserve the salt for right after frying and I use sea salt. Delicious!

Bacon-Roasted Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
MMM this came out delicious! I used chicken breasts and I cut them into thigh-sized pieces then wrapped each with bacon strips (I used turkey bacon.) I didn't have yellow potatoes so I used the white ones. The seasonings on this was delicious and I added a sprinkle of cayenne because I like heat. The potatoes were just the way I like them (melt-in-your-mouth good!) and to get my bacon slightly crisp I turned on the broiler at the end for a while. Only the top side of the bacon got crisp and rest remained a bit soft but I enjoyed it that way. Thanks for sharing!

Less vinegar and more brown sugar. Otherwise, pretty good.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Very good and easy. However, I like to use fresh pressed garlic instead of garlic powder. I sautee it with the butter. I added shrimp to the sauce at the end and then stirred in some cooked penne pasta. Yummy.

Maple-Balsamic Vinaigrette

Loved this recipe. I adjusted the recipe a bit because I use it sparingly - I used a 1:1:2 ratio for the maple syrup, balsamic vinegar and oil respectively. Used this on my fav salad with greens, goat cheese and dates. Perfection!

Excellent!! I didn't add any black pepper because I forgot but it didn't really need it. MMMM! Easy and delicious! (Made it as a side dish for Maple Salmon which is OUT OF THIS WORLD, by the way)

really tasty and simple to make..I added sauteed celery and carrots and used vegetable stock for the water..did not want the fat from the cream so subbed fat-free evaporated milk and also added a handful of frozen corn for more texture.. will make this again, thanks

Slow Cooker Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
This soup was quite good. I did add more vegetables to get better flavor than just onion and potato. I used carrots and celery as well. I used garlic salt and chicken boiullon. I also used soy milk instead of regular cow's milk because my daughter and I cannot have dairy. It was delicious. Will definitely make it again.

Chocolate Caramel Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
Chocolate, caramel and raspberries?! How can you go wrong with such a combination? I made this sauce to go over vanilla pound cake slices and this makes a whole lot! I did not add in the whipping cream but instead just put in a bit of cream in my individual servings and reheat the sauce in the microwave. It only takes a couple seconds. Out of the fridge it is almost like a "type of truffle filling." Not rock hard but maybe fudge-like consistency. I think it would make a nice truffle filling rolled in some finely grated chocolate too. I love this recipe. Thanks!

Basic Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
This was a wonderful dough, crispy on the edges but soft and yummy inside. I made this recipe out of necessity. I wanted a dough which I could put together right away and I have to say I am a bit surprised at how good it came out. I used it to make a calzone type recipe today and will definitely use it in the future when I want pizza on the spot! Thanks.

Bacon Cheese Stromboli

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
This reminded me of a calzone but was very good. I made my own pizza dough using Basic Pizza Crust (recipe from this site,) used turkey bacon and added in some grilled onions. I ate this for lunch today and it was cheesy good just like cheese/bacon pizza. I dipped each bite in a combination of ketchup/hot sauce and boy, it was delicious! Thanks for sharing.

Naan

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
WoW! I'm so pleasently surprised at the ease, flavor and versatility of this recipe. I made this to eat with lamb kabobs, tzatziki sauce, lettuce and tomatoes. My son is eating the naan by itself and said he wants to try it with eggs, bacon and cheese! This bread would probably go with anything. I made half of the recipe and infused the butter with the garlic rather than adding it to the dough. Love it. Love it. Love it!!

Oatmeal Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
I made this recipe in my bread maker as it is written (looks like the amount of water for the yeast has been corrected to only 1/3 cup) and it was FABULOUS!!! I put the ingredients into the machine in this order: oatmeal mix first, then the water (no yeast), flour, salt, sugars and yeast. Put the machine in 'dough cycle'. When ready, instead of rolls I made two small loaves: divided the dough in two, stretched it to about 8x8 and rolled it jelly-roll style just like you form white bread loaves. It came out perfect. Will upload pictures soon.

Microwave Fried Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
I have to say I was a bit hesitant to try this recipe because I am accustomed to making my fried rice on the stove top. Two things went through my mind before I started and during my making of this recipe - I thought the veggies would be overdone and if it would be too salty (cause bouillon here seems to have lots of salt and adding soy sauce on top of that?!) Boy was I wrong, this was delicious! My worries were all for nothing. Admittedly this takes longer than just frying up leftover rice on the stove but it is great nonetheless. I also thought it was "pale looking" but after giving it a mix with the eggs it turns out lots of the soy sauce settled to the bottom of the dish. My rice got a nice colour at the end. In a pinch when all you have a microwave to "cook" ;) with...this recipe would be top of my list. I left out the ham and added in a chopped sweet pepper. Thanks for sharing!
