Just imagine a cute display of penguins, made with black olives, carrots and cream cheese! You can add scarves and hats by using fresh red pepper strips, or canned pimentos cut into different shapes. Use frilly toothpicks if you can.

A simple concordance of butter, sugar, walnuts and chocolate yields a rich, indulgent toffee. For best results use a candy thermometer during the boiling stage, and use a lightly oiled wooden spoon if you want to spread out the mixture to cool.

This is a prune and raisin filled cookie with chopped walnuts added if desired. The cookies are made into loaves approx. 3 1/2 to 4 inches wide and 8 to 10 inches long. After baking the loaves are cut into slices crosswise approx. 1 inch wide. Cookies are glazed on top and decorated with colored sprinkles. Prepare the fruit filling the night before baking.
