I'm one of those people who need chocolate on a regular basis. I looked high and low for a rich brownie recipe that called for cocoa instead of chocolate squares...and this is it. My family loves these brownies - they never last more than a day at our house. -Karen Trapp, North Weymouth, Massachusetts

This is a traditional Indian sweet of saffron and semolina is prepared all over India. It is the standard offering to God, that is cooked as 'prasad' after a 'Pooja'. This recipe is made using 1 1/4 of any measure (instead of one) by Hindus as they believe using the extra measure will usher in prosperity and happiness.

Cumin seeds are fun to cook with, they come alive when you drop them in hot oil, and they impart a very special flavor to this rice. Use your imagination if you 'd like to add other tastes to this already tasty dish. Grated carrots, raisins, ginger or cinnamon would be nice.

Sometimes the basics are the best! I've used this simple recipe for years to make garlic bread, and any leftovers go great on barbequed steaks, pasta, rice or potatoes. You can use any butter or margarine you like. Also, fresh or minced garlic in a jar works well. Adjust the amount of garlic to your taste.
