Tarragon Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
Makes an excellent sandwich filling too! Didn't have enough fresh tarragon, so I added dry tarragon to the mix and it's just wonderful and so easy to make.

Singaporean Chile Crab

Reviewed: May 8, 2008
Thank you for the recipe. It was very good and just as I remembered it in Malaysia! I didn't have any cili padi, so I used habanero instead. And I left out the lemon juice, just because i didn't have any. It still tasted food though!

Habanero Hellfire Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
Definitely a nice kick to it. I was concerned at first when the beer flavour seem to overwhelm the dish, but as it sits all the flavours came together. I also omitted the beans (don't like beans) and did not change any other part of the recipe, and it turned out great. Thanks for a great recipe.

Clark Gable Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
I've had this recipe for so long and have been making these again and again but I always forgot to leave a comment. My family just love these pancakes. They are just so easy to make. These babies will turn out thick but fluffy.

Creme Brulee

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2008
Like CHEFPEON I too did this minus the double boiler step.... with 4 cups cream, 8eggs, 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla. Results were smooth and thick but light.

Banana Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2008
These are great muffins for the family, my mum simply love it when i made it and adding the fact that it's healthy but i still can't get the satisfaction from the others for they thought of the muffin a little bit dry. Might be the fact that it's made out of whole wheat. From the other's review, will next time add a little milk to make it softer. This is an amazing recipe, please try it! (^^)

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
This cookie is truly amazing even though I changed all the ingredients in the title. My kids were asking for choc chip cookies but I wanted to try this recipe. So we compromised. Took out all the spices and raisins and used choc chips and milk chocolate chunks. Kept all the other ingredients the same. They were crunchy on the outside and soft insides and sweetness was just right. I made 41 big fat cookies and it took me about 15 minutes to cook. Thank you Beth for sharing.

Orange Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
It seemed more soy sauce than orange and honey. That however, could be because as Asians, our standard soy sauce is stronger in intensity than Western soy sauces, I think. Other than that warning, quite an easy recipe to make, with ingredients that are relatively affordable worldwide.

Pineapple and Banana Smoothie

Good texture but too sweet. Also, the servings portion was too much for my family, due to the sweetness.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
I finally made this after keeping the recipe for so long. But I had to substitute the blueberries with dried berries(cranberry, strawberry, cherry, blueberry etc) as fresh blueberries are too expensive. Used the exact measurements given. Tasted good except I would prefer if it had been a little moist. It didn't rise over the paper big liner with 7 muffins, so they looked quite flat. Next time I'll make only 6 huge ones.

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
Made only half of the recipe as fresh blueberries are way too expensive here. Also added some cinnamon and nutmeg. I LOOOVE the texture of this muffin... so soft and moist. I think this need a little bit more sugar as other viewers suggested. My problem was with the blueberries. This is the first time I tasted fresh blueberries, and it tasted so bland. Is this how it's suppose to taste? Next time I'll try using canned or pie filling blueberries. Other than the sweetness, I'd prefer this to "To Die For Blueberry Muffin" recipe.

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
Baked about 45 min in 9"x9" cake pan. I didn't taste the cake on its own 'cos I wanted to do more to it. Cut the cake in half and spread strawberry filling(heat 2C crushed strawberries, 1/4C sugar, 4tblsp jelly crystals and 2tblsp lemon juice). For the topping, I whipped 300 ml whipping cream, add it a package of already whipped cream cheese and 1/2C icing sugar.
