Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2008
These cookies look like a classic cc cookie, however they lack the classic taste. The texture was nice. I used imitation vanilla; perhaps that was the problem. I don't know. I will try them with more vanilla.

Costas French Market Doughnuts (Beignets)

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
Yummy Yummy beignets. Haven't tasted the real thing from Cafe Du Monde, but judging from the outcome of these yummy delights I can imagine what the real taste must taste like :) Also what I did was to eat them with sardine in tomato sauce. Tips when frying: Make sure the oil is not TOO hot or the inside won't cook and the outside would browned too much. Always flip them over and over again to get even colors on both sides. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Potato Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
I've tried this recipe quite a while ago and I have to say I'm impressed with the outcome. Even though it takes some time and effort to make them, if you want your chips to be "healthy" chips, then investing your time on it wouldn't be a total waste. Regarding those whose chips turned out soggy,I think that is because they didn't microwave it long enough or the slices of potatoes were too soggy.I usually pat them dry with a kitchen towel before lightly coating them with oil and salt. And only take them out once they start to brown, if not continue microwaving. They might be soft at first but once u let them cool, they'll turn crispy.

Pumpkin Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
This is delicous!!! But I thought it was going to be a side dish... it is not. It is a lovely dessert. If I make it again as a side dish, I will use only 1/4 or 1/2 cup of sugar.

Hollandaise Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
Good results, even though I used a saucepan directly on a stove on low heat. Just kept whisking and stirring. However, lessen the lemon juice by half a tablespoon if you don't like your sauce so tangy.

Tarragon Chicken Salad

Makes an excellent sandwich filling too! Didn't have enough fresh tarragon, so I added dry tarragon to the mix and it's just wonderful and so easy to make.

Really good. Bain-marie baking gives me a lovely custard texture and I loved it! I baked two batches in one day just because it was so simple and so tasty at the same time.

Singaporean Chile Crab

Reviewed: May 8, 2008
Thank you for the recipe. It was very good and just as I remembered it in Malaysia! I didn't have any cili padi, so I used habanero instead. And I left out the lemon juice, just because i didn't have any. It still tasted food though!

Habanero Hellfire Chili

Definitely a nice kick to it. I was concerned at first when the beer flavour seem to overwhelm the dish, but as it sits all the flavours came together. I also omitted the beans (don't like beans) and did not change any other part of the recipe, and it turned out great. Thanks for a great recipe.

Clark Gable Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
I've had this recipe for so long and have been making these again and again but I always forgot to leave a comment. My family just love these pancakes. They are just so easy to make. These babies will turn out thick but fluffy.

Like CHEFPEON I too did this minus the double boiler step.... with 4 cups cream, 8eggs, 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla. Results were smooth and thick but light.
