Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
It may be a little labor-intensive and requires a lot of ingredients but this bean salad is totally worth it! I've never tasted anything like it. The Mexican bean salad turned out fresh, delicious, spicy, with a nice sweet and salty tang to it. It doesn't hurt that it is so healthy too! It keeps very well and is a perfect side and/or snack!

Simple, delicious, (relatively) healthy and oh-so chocolatey. This is a perfect recipe for anyone who needs a less guilty chocolate indulgence. Serve immediately before it loses volume and deflates!

Delicious lentil soup recipe that is super healthy! It is very flexible in terms of adjustments according to what you have (or don't have) in your kitchen pantry. This is my go-to lentil soup recipe that I can't survive without in winter!

Best Ever Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
I love bread but every time I tried to make one, it turn out hard so I quit trying until I find this recipe. Making bread with combination of flour and cake mix was brilliant!! My bread turn out very soft even after 3 days... By the way, when I prepare the cinnamon-sugar filling, I just realized that I just have enough cinnamon for half the dough so I shape the other half of the dough to dinner roll. I got 12 cinnamon buns and 16 dinner rolls and I like the dinner roll better :-) Thank you for this recipe! Now I can make home made bread which is better than buying from the bakery shop.

These were great but did feel a litle too Italian for our taste. Pehaps because I switched to Italian Seasonings as I did not have Basil on hand. Maybe should stick ot it next time!

Crepes

I just made these and o em gee... it's really good! I think the key is to use the blender to make it thus it achieves the right consistency and distribute the ingredients evenly. Used my crepe pan, and also added 2 tsp of pure vanilla into the batter. Delicious! Thank you so much for sharing the recipe. =)

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
Since it's rather hard to find brown sugar in Indonesia, I just use palm sugar - same brown but kinda different in taste (it has a bit salty taste). The result is just perfect for soft oatmeal cookie. But if you let it baked for longer time, palm sugar makes the cookie harder at the first bite instead of crunchy. So I just baked according to the instruction, and it turned out just perfect!!!

Cheddar Broccoli Chicken and Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
This is really turn so good! So creamy and yummy! I'm not follow every single ingredients.. Ok, so here we go: For chicken itself, I cut into bit size, I saw reviews that people can't taste the chicken breast, that is because chicken breast has solid flesh, so white, and kinda hard.. If you put thighs, it's probably fine, but if breast, cut it up to bite size, after you browned them, drain all the oil with paper towel/plates, and give little dash of salt! Set aside.. After I browned them, I saute 1 clove of garlic, my husband and I love garlic, so it's not problem to put garlic a lil bit, it smells good and taste of garlic make food more tasty! For broccoli, since I just have 1 cup of broccoli, I mix it with 1 up of spinach, chopped it roughly! And it taste unique and wonderful.. For broccoli soup, I didn't have it, so I change with Chicken Soup, it works! Last not the least, the part of "cover for 5 minutes" put 1 cup of cheddar cheese and wait for 5 minutes, and stir it.. Yummy!! Tasty!! My husband doesn't like veggies AT ALL. but his plate was clean!! with all spinach and broccoli :p Thanks for the recipe!

I added more things for this recipe:onions, to make it more flavorful, red pepper flakes, because I like spicy, and I added brown sugar to make it a little bit sweeter. I also added ginger and lemon grass. Hmmm.. So good! I will definitely make it again..

BEST Recipe! My husband not a big fan of fish, since we got huge salmon from his friend, we need to cook it. So, I looked on this site, and I found this recipe. I made like twice the ingredients, I put white sugar, and still good! And the best thing is: I cooked it with George Foreman Grilling.. Small but powerfull! Result: My husband ate whole fishes! I can't believe.. And he don't mind we make the same thing the next day! LOVE IT!! Thank you so much!!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
What a great, delicious recipe for pumpkin bread! I've never made pumpkin bread before and my virgin attempt was a huge success. I had to adjust some baking times because I had smaller-sized pans than the ones recommended in the recipe. I love that the crust is crisp and slightly crunchy, while the innard is soft and pillowy. I also substituted the spices with the pumpkin pie spice I had in my pantry. Very delicious and I will definitely use this recipe again. And again!

Chicken Enchiladas II

I really like this recipe! =) Although, I did make some changes according to others' suggestions. I used one can of cream of chicken and a can of cream of mushroom. I added A LOT more cheese than the recipe stated, and used just regular flour tortillas and rottiserie chicken breasts. Very yummy and will definitely make again soon! =)

Awesome recipe! My husband approves! ;-) Though I found that I had to add a bit more milk - the batter rose quickly - it thickened fast - so adding more milk will give you more time before you have to put it on the griddle.
