Chicken in Creamy Pan Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2007
I have some chicken breast on the fridge that I don't know what to do- then I saw Kraft video on making this easy chicken in creamy pan sauce- I quickly grabbed my chicken and cream cheese- added caper and chicken broth- it was really good and easy to make! I would definitely make this again- It is even better the next day- the cream cheese make it salty- so no need to add salt- I think a little bit of lemon would be great as well!

I replaced bacon with Turkey bacon- and added chicken sausage in it- it was delicious.

Baked Tofu Bites

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
So easy, healthy and delicious! What can be better? I followed the other reviewers advice and left out the liquid smoke thingy but I also improvised because I didn't have some of the ingredients. Instead of ketchup, I used the same amount of jar pasta sauce, a drizzle of sesame oil and a sprinkling of black sesame seeds in addition to the white ones. I will definitely repeat this again but I was just wondering, is it supposed to turn out a bit crunchy? Mine turned out not crunchy but I think that might be due to me piling up the marinated tofu on the baking sheet instead of carefully arranging them in a single layer...

Moroccan Chicken and Whole Grain Couscous

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
It's really good dish- However, this dish is even better the next day - because it becomes more like gravy- instead of liquidy soup. It's very tasty- I added brown sugar and raisins to sweetened it. The raisins add little bit of sweetness in the soup- Very Good with Raisins.

Easy Dump Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2007
This was a surprise. I had a craving for a cake after work last night - but I only have 1.5 hrs to spend. So I browsed allrecipes quickly to find easy cake to make - and found this! I only had half of the sour cream tub, so I used vanilla yoghurt for the other half. I dumped everything in the same mixer, and mixed them all together - that easy. I also put peanut butter chips and almond slivers in them. My friend said this is the best cake she's ever eaten! So moist, delicious, and the easiest of all.

Great one!! Easy to make and cheap (used margarine instead of butter). I loved deep chocolate taste, so I reduced the sugar a bit, and upped the cocoa powder. I paired them with One Bowl Chocolate cake III - oh yummy!

Adobo Chicken with Ginger

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2007
DELICIOUS! I'm giving this 4 stars because I didn't follow your recipe exactly. I had 5lb of quarter legs and, since I was simply too lazy to alter the recipe to fit 5lb, I just guessed. I used ground pepper instead of peppercorns. I went heavy on both the garlic and the pepper, since I am a huge fan of both. We didn't have bay leaves so I used the leaves on our lime tree in our backyard, which is what my mom usually uses when cooking. Turned out GREAT. I will make sure to have my Filipino friends try it to see what they think!

Banana Crumb Muffins

It was very good, but not the best. The only change I made was whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose. I made this for my parents as I myself am not too much of a bread person; next time I make it for them I will add walnuts.

Excellent! I made this last night for the kids I was babysitting - it's so easy to make and they LOVED it! So did I for that matter. I used chicken tenderloins instead of breasts cuz that's all they had. Simply delicious :)

Allie's Delicious Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2007
When I asked my boyfriend what his favorite food was, his answer was "mac and cheese" - I, who has never encountered anything but the blue box variety, was astonished. My reaction when he told me his mom made it from SCRATCH was "HuH? How does she make the cheese powder!??!" Nevertheless I decided to make his favorite dish and followed this recipe exactly. WE LOVED IT!!! I'll never settle for the instant stuff ever again! THe only problem I had was with the flour clumping. Next time I will try corn starch instead.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2007
This cake was AMAZING - I made it for my dad, because I usually don't like carrot cake... And we BOTTH LOVED IT!!! I only made a few minor changes - one tablespoon of vanilla extract, olive oil instead of vegetable, and because I didn't have any cinnamon I used nutmeg instead. I was planning on following your frosting recipe when I realized I had JUST run out of confectioner's sugar, so I used about 3/4 cup white sugar and 3 or 4 tbsp of pure maple syrup (I'm guestimating cuz I didn't actually measure)... And it still came out great, and it wasn't too sweet. The middle of my cake fell in so I had to cut out the sides and rebake the middle, but I think I overbeated my batter. Thank you so much for a GREAT recipe!!!!!

Corned Beef Hash (Abalos style)

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2007
This is great!!! When my mom was away for about a week, the responsibility of cooking fell to me (her 16 year old daughter lol)... I knew everyone in my family loved corned beef so I found your recipe and it was an instant success!!! I cut out the potatoes because I served it with rice. The only problem I had was that the tomatoe juice made the whole thing really runny - but it still tasted delicious!

Made it twice now! Once with my own glaze (got it from one of the reviews) - and once with store-bought glaze. They're both great - and if you dont have time, just buy the store bought glaze and you'll be alright!

Delicious, easy and healthy, although you'll have to adjust the salt for individual taste. This recipe makes flavorful grilled veggies. I added diced onion and garlic for additional variety. This is a must-repeat!

Egg-White Crepes

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
I have 2 leftover egg whites and this recipe was just right for it. Other recipes use whole eggs or egg yolks, but never just egg whites. Using whole wheat flour, skim milk and no sugar, this is a healthy desert for me. I use banana and a little melted chocolate for the filling though. Next time I'll try to follow the recipe to the T.

These burgers are delicious and very well-seasoned. The only problem I encountered was that they didn't hold together well when it was time to flip them on the grill. Other than that, it's delicious and the recipe is a definite repeat!
