Spooky Witches Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
This is a great recipe thats easy enough for a beginner to make! I made it for my mom's gym halloween party and they were a huge hit (they even took some home to show their families). I use metric measurements, and didnt have almond extract (its too expensive here in SA) so I used almond essence instead, of which I'll use a little less next time :P

Absolutely Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2008
I'm giving this full marks, because if i was able to make them properly they would have been fantastic. it was really quick to mix together and wasnt long til i popped it in the oven, putting it on top grill!! which resulted in my 'brownies'baked to a crispy crunch on top and a sticky chocolatey pudding thingy at the bottom. if i had put the oven (which i've never used before) correctly they may have come out fantastic. i didn't have walnuts so just added some crushed peanuts instead. it was still fine. Fiance liked it though.. he thought it was some sort of chocolate pudding.. oh well better luck next time!

Strawberry Cobbler I

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
this recipe was terrific i used Strawberries and kiwi. i am watching my sugar so a note to others this tranlates wonderfully to a no sugar dessert, just use splenda instead of sugar. I also used whole wheat flour and Low fat milk instaed of cream. Still makes a wonderful crust. I will make this again for sure.

Chicken Noodle Salad with Peanut-Ginger Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
I made this without the chicken as a side for some pork tenderloin. it was very good i loved it I added just a touch of seasame oil and one minced tooth of garlic to give it a little boost, and I added about 1 tblsp of water cause it was a little thick. i will definetly make it again.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

I think any MEAT recipe is better if u brown the meat first. 5 mins is all it takes and u add tons more flavour.

Chicken Korma II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
This dish was as good as any chicken Korma I have had in an Indian restaurant. Two things to note, I used fat free coconut milk in place of half and half. Also, several reviewers mentioned that it was a very mild dish. Well, Indian Chili powder is not the same as Mexican and is, in fact, very hot. It can be purchased at an Indian food store. The brand I use is Rajah. It makes a huge difference to the flavor, but use it sparingly.

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2007
This recipe was so tasty. My husband just loved it. I did use a can of enchilada sauce and to kick up the flavor used pepperjack cheese and sprinkled the dish with chili powder prior to baking. I also used a can of seasoned pinto beans. This one is a keeper.

Banana Bread V

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
This bread was absolutely delicious and one of the best banana breads I've ever had. I used my microwave convection oven and it took only 45 mins to get done. Next time I think I will add some cinnamon as suggested by other reviewers. Great recipe!!

If you like it vegetarian, hot, and full of flavour, then this is good! I'm sure you can play around with flavours, but as is, this is an excellent combination of flavours. YUM!

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2007
Usually when I try a new recipe it is a success the first time only. I have made this one about 30 times now, and it is successful every time. I have to add that it does not have a chance to get cold - eaten within 15 minutes of taking out of the machine. We just love it!
