About this Cook
I work full time in Real Estate Law, and have two children at home. My husband is in law enforcement and our meal times are about the only sit-down family time we manage to get!
My favorite things to cook
Slow cooker items are my personal favorite, I can prepare the ingredients before bed and throw it all in before I head to work in the morning. I also love seasonal cookie baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in a German/English household so cookies at holiday times are a must, and nothing too spicey.
My cooking triumphs
There are many.....I haven't found a recipe I couldn't make work...except....
My cooking tragedies
Angel Food Cake. It NEVER works for me.

Easy Lemon Cookies
LOVE IT! The cake mix boxes are about an ounce smaller than the recipe called for so I added about 1/4 cup of flour and it came out with the perfect consistency. YUMMY results!

Bourbon Chicken
I took advice and cut it into small pieces and put into a crock-pot on low for the day. The chicken was a little dry but the taste was great!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
This felt like it was missing something to me...maybe some veggies? I used bisquick (on hand) and made a quick batch...throwing in about 6 balls of dough. It went a little nuts and created an entire layer on top. Which actually worked out pretty well...almost like a shepherds pie...and it soaked up a bunch of the liquid. Overall, it was OK. I'll probably adapt it to use again.
