My favorite family cooking traditions

Every year my mom and I make strawberry jam, freezer corn, and can peaches and make applesauce to freeze. Its become a tradition that I rely on.

Apple Squares

These were fantastic! I doubled the recipe in a 9 x 13 pan. Used 2 cups of honey crisp apples, didn't double the sugar topping. I thought it was good, but my older brother thought it needed more sugar (he's got a small sweet tooth). I will definetely make these again. When you are mixing the batter it looks like there is not enough liquid, but as long as you don't overbake (I left mine in for 33 minutes), they will be super moist and delicious!
