I became deeply interested in wine starting about 4 years ago when my husband and I traveled to Napa Valley on our honeymoon. As we visited many of the gorgeous wineries such as Sterling, Clos du Val, and Chateau Montelena, I found myself responding to the scenery and wine in a profound way. My affinity for great wine only grew during our 2008 trip to Paris, leading me to believe that a serious dedication to wine, spirits, and food is somehow in my future. We have three days of special Christmas dinners at our house: December 23, latkes; December 24, lasagne; December 25, traditional turkey and trimmings.
