Turning the electric stove top on to medium to medium high, poke pepper with a fork and place on burner. Hold long enough on burner to get crackling of the skin and charring marks. Rotate pepper until charred to your liking, remove from stove. You don't have to remove the skins. This can add smokyness flavor to any recipe for added depth.
