We have renamed this "happy family stroganoff" This is the comfort meal in our house, the only thing I added was a little sherry, since that was something my mother always had in her recipe. I think the basil is the trick though.

Very easy, I didn't have parsley and don't think I would have used it anyway. I did use fresh garlic instead of dried. Most fabulous! Let Steak marinade overnight and my hubby loved it!

Wow! This is an fabulous pie. I baked this and took it to a work party and it was the biggest hit. Even my finicky husband raved about it! I followed the additions that others suggested with the cinnamon and nutmeg as well as the vanilla. This is a keeper and will be added to the recipe book in our household for years to come..
