I will grill anything that I can get my hands on. I also enjoy making Tex-Mex, dips, and anything with meatballs. I love meatballs!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Lately, it has been healthy. I love eating food that has great flavor. When I go out to restaurants and really like the meal, I try to recreate it at home. I love the challenge.
My cooking triumphs
Homemade ice cream. I got the Kitchen-Aid ice cream attachment for Christmas in 07 and have been making ice cream that is better than what you would find in the specialty ice cream shops. My latest additions have been black raspberry and cookies and cream, and blueberry cheesecake. Yum!
My cooking tragedies
I don't really have too many. I enjoy cooking and if I mess up on something, then you can count on me making it again very soon to perfect it.

Fresh Semolina and Egg Pasta
Uhhh. I messed this one up. I could not find semolina flour in the store so I bought Hodgens Mill 50/50 white/wheat flour, since I read online that semolina is actually a wheat flour. Bad move! The dough was extremely hard to roll out (I was doing this all by hand) and it took like 15 minutes to cook to a texture that was edible. I made ravioli's with the dough. My family said they liked it but I think they were just being nice. I will definitely try this again using semolina flour. I like the idea of making my own pasta and want to get the pasta attachment for my stand mixer.

Mandarin Chicken Skillet
I really did not like this recipe. My family ate it but didn't seem to enjoy it. I omitted the mushrooms and used 1/3 cup of juice from oranges since I did not have any orange juice.

Garlic Chicken
This is so good. I have made this twice in a week and a half. The chicken comes out so tender. This chicken would also be good chopped up on a salad, or in a wrap. Thanks~!
