About this Cook
I come from a large family and I am one of 7 children! I have lots of experience cooking for large crowds, church groups, my husbands work and my very large family. I have cooked and baked for up to 100 people! My best accomplishment was putting on two wedding receptions for family members. The recipes were all from scratch! Since I came from a family of seven kids I learned early the value of home cooking!
My favorite things to cook
About a year ago I started working hard at perfecting my pizza dough. I finally got it to work well and serve it to guests. Many are so amazed I am able to make great homemade pizza! I use 4 cheeses on the top and add custom toppings, such as pepperoni, sausage and vegetables. It sure saves me money!! Now we all dislike take out pizza!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite tradition is to make the Keflings(Almond Cookies)every Thanksgiving and Christmas. We love to sit and tell the stories about how my dad would steal cookies without us knowing it.
My cooking triumphs
I've learned to cook low-fat but not no taste. A tough assignment at best and I still finding ways to please my picky eaters! I have also learned to cook for the Leadership Team at church and that's volume cooking. I love to serve recipes to the Leaders and get rave reviews. They know if I cook I don't scrimp on flavor at all and they come back and thank me for the meal. Cooking for the Team has been great charity work indeed!
My cooking tragedies
Sour Dough Starter!! Gee I can't seem to get that one right....

Seasoned Turkey Burgers
These tasted wonderful! A bit salty for my taste though since my family has blood pressure problems. I'm going to try this with fresh onion and garlic and low sodium soy sauce but stay with the bread crumb ratio and the egg. Thank you for a good basic recipe!

Make-Ahead Baked Egg Sandwiches
Microwaves are different, some people may need to defrost the sandwich prior to heating for 1-2 minutes.
