Hours in a kitchen aren't strange to me. Cooking was my grandma's passion, and her passion spread to me. Living in Michigan; winters are cold. Grandma's hot kitchen warmed my soul. Currently, I'm in the business of banquet catering and serving. Our job is to make food look and taste beautiful. I bring that same work ethic home. I love trying different types of food, wines and beers. My cooking confession is that I'm a cake snob.
My favorite things to cook
Mexican-inspired dishes, vegetarian dishes and breakfast/brunch.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Bacardi Rum Cake - Let's say the cake has a terrible drunken lean to it when it's finish because of all the liquor. But people love it and request us to make it for them throughout the years.
My cooking triumphs
Banana Split Cake, Very tender Corned beef and cabbage.
My cooking tragedies
One day, I tried to impress my boyfriend by making a chocolate cake from scratch. I didn't have enough chocolate. It was terrible. He's a ex-boyfriend now... Lol
