Delicate Jasmine Rice

Nice! I only had jasmine green tea - which I find more "delicate" than black. I decided to use 2 bags to be sure and really liked the way this came out. The water/rice and cooking times are perfect - brown rice can sometimes be a stinker to get right. Thanks! :)

Thai Cucumber Tomato Salad

Sausage Cheeseburger Pizza

Fun and easy grub for the boy and I while MrB is working (he probably wouldn't dig this). We made these on small prebaked crusts, skipped the onion, went easy on the mustard, and added ketchup. Cheeseburger-y yum! Thanks for the recipe! :)

Crustless Bacon and Cheese Quiche

This is good! I scaled this recipe to 8 servings and made it in an 8" springform pan. It was a little flatter than I expected - even after adding more vegetables - so I might go ahead with the 12 serving amount next time if I'm using the springform. I added some fresh basil and black pepper to this, as well. Thanks for the recipe!

Fabulous Frosted French Toast

Very good! I made this as directed except I used full-on-fat versions of everthing - and powdered sugar in the frosting because it made sense to me. I found these perfectly sweet - not too much so. I used 8 1-inch slices of Como bread and had quite a bit of egg mixture left, so I'm thinking this recipe can stretch almost double without making more batter, FYI. We had ours with fresh raspberries and blackberries and it was delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

Grilled Blue Cheese Pears

Nice! I love pears and blue cheese together. My pears were a bit under-ripe, so I did have to grill both sides of them to get them to the texture I wanted. I used Louisiana Hot Sauce and it gave a nice little kick. I served them on mixed greens with citrus vinaigrette and toasted pecans. Lovely! Thanks for the recipe!

Dark Chocolate Bacon Cupcakes

Exxxcellent. I'm not a scratch-cake baker by nature, but this is one awesome cake recipe! I folllowed the directions exactly, but spun the bacon in my food processor so I wouldn't run into big meaty bits. After exhausting my scratch capabilities with the cake, I chose pre-made dark chocolate frosting and garnished it with crumbled bacon, sea salt, and chopped semi-sweet chocolate. Yum! I'm sending a bunch of these to work with my husband tomorrow - we'll see what his bacon-loving crew thinks...crazy or genius? Thanks for the recipe!

Orange, Walnut, Gorgonzola and Mixed Greens Salad with Fresh Citrus Vinaigrette

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Very good! I tripled this recipe. I prefer my onion soup a little more chunky so I added a lot more onion to it. Otherwise made as written (aside from going wild with the cheese). Fabulous flavor! Thanks for the recipe!

Margarita Dressing

Really good! I normally don't use dried cilantro, but I tried it in this and really liked it - sort of how I like fresh basil and dried basil as different herbs altogether. I also thought the sweet-to-sour was right on for this - and the serving size is perfect (I cut the recipe in half). We had this on a spinach and red lettuce salad with red and green peppers and jicama. Nice! Thanks for the recipe!

Cilantro Potatoes

I kinda hate giving this recipe 3 stars because it was great with modifications, but not-so-great as written. You have to put the garlic and cilantro in near the end - once the potatoes are browned - or you will end up with burnt garlic and cilantro, yuck. There's also more oil than is appetizing - I cut it in half and had plenty. I added a little sliced jalepeno at the end and served these with Smokey Chipotle Meatloaf from this site. We really liked them together. Thanks for the recipe!

Smokey Chipotle Meatloaf

Yum! We really enjoyed this. I agree that the chipotle may be too hot for some, but it was fine for us. You may want to sub part of the chipotle/adobo with smoked paprika to keep the smoky flavor without quite so much "yowza!". Another cool trick for this meatloaf, if youre feeling whiny like I was, is to throw all the ingredients except the meat and oatmeal in the blender, then mix everything together in a stand mixer. No chipotle-onion-meat-hands! Thanks so much for the recipe! (I doubled it - we're getting down with sandwiches tomorrow for lunch!)

Udon Peanut Butter Noodles

This is really good and super easy for a weeknight dinner! I followed the recipe as written, except I doubled the recipe, used the juice from the rotisserie chicken in place of 1/2 the broth, and added a little sesame oil. Not too spicy - heat lovers may want to add crushed red pepper like my guys did, but I ate it as is and it was great. Thanks for the recipe!

Sweet and Sour Dipping Sauce

Nice! Pretty strong on vinegar (I used rice instead of white), but great for vinegar lovers. This sauce is also a little thin, so I would probably thicken it more as the submitter suggests if I were wanting more cling to it - but because it is strong, the consistency as written works well for dipping without getting an overbearing amount of sauce. We had ours with vegetable spring rolls and it was really good. Thanks!

Green Chili Burritos

Good and easy. I spiced these up a little for us - they are very mild as written. We liked them best with lots of pepperjack, wrapped tight and heated until a little crisp in the oven - but they are also nice as is with a little sour cream and cilantro. Yum. Thanks for the recipe!

Cherry Tomato Corn Salad

I really liked this! I was afraid I woud be missing vinegar in it, but the lime juice and basil really work for a nice flavor. I used white and yellow corn for this and added black pepper. Thanks for the recipe!

Tomato-Rosemary Pan Sauce

Nice! I actually bought vermouth for this after I read how it could be used in other recipes calling for white wine. This sauce is good. I l added a little more rosemary because we both really love it. I also think doubling the sauce is a good idea if you are making 4 steaks. I used the recipe as written and it really only made enough for 2 mid-size ribeyes - but I like the sauce thickish and a thinner sauce would obviously go further. I seasoned my steaks with salt and back pepper only, and made the sauce in the searing pan. Thanks for the recipe!
