About this Cook
I've always loved to cook and now that I'm a SAHM it means I can cook whenever I want. My family alternates from being very picky to being okay with "whatever" so sometimes it's harder than others.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook just about anything - just really depends upon my mood which thing will strike my fancy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to have my kids help me bake - they do an awesome job at helping.
My cooking triumphs
I think my greatest triumph cooking was making the Death by Chocolate cake in Marcel Desaulniers cookbook. Yum!
My cooking tragedies
I've had several meals gone bad, but my most memorable was when I was about 12 - I was making mashed potatoes and dumped in cinnamon instead of pepper (just grabbed the wrong container). I scooped most of it out but it still had an awful sweet taste to it. (No, I won't do that again).

Seasoned Cottage Cheese
If anyone ever went to the Alpine Village Inn in Las Vegas years ago before they closed, this is the dip they served before the meal. No, it's not your normal sour cream/mayo based dip, but it is delicious!

Strawberry Bread
This was great ... thanks! I used applesauce for the oil and added chocolate chips instead of the nuts. A repeat for sure!

Chili Colorado
Though I used cubed stew beef instead of the pork (I don't like pork), we all enjoyed this chili. I'll definitely keep this in my recipe box to make again. Thanks!
