I rolled the dough into 4 ropes then cut into ends to make split ends for braiding. Wrap a raw egg (large end up) in center of rope and braid the 4 split ends. Press the bottom ends together to seal. Make Cross from small rope and tuck alongside of egg. Brush with beaten egg. Raw eggs cook while baking. I made 2 batches in our travel trailer's small oven (turning 1/4 turn every 10 minutes) and gave to friends. Cool 10 minutes and cut with bread knife. Most excellent warm with butter and jam. ;-)
