Flan is a fairly simple dessert to prepare once you've done it a couple of times. I myself have learned from trial and error. I normally dont make Flan using cream cheese, however I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it. The Flan takes on a much denser and creamier texture (which I really prefer). I used coconut extract 1/2 of a small bottle, and also added about 2 tablespoons of cinnamon in addition to the required ingredients. For first time Flan makers I must advise: Do not carmelize the sugar on too a high a temperature, or too rapidly. It will turn dark brown, burn and become bitter. The rest is pretty simple
