My tips on using this marinade: when you go to the store to buy your chicken, pick up some of the produce bags near the fruits and vegetables section and also have large ziploc bags. I used a large package of thighs and a package of bone-in chicken breasts. I skinned half the thighs and a few breast filets I had leftover to test the marinade (worked just as good as the skin-on pieces by the way). Divide your chicken pieces, maybe 6 thighs per bag... DO NOT CROWD!!. Because wet marinades seem to always leak, I divide and pour the marinade into each chicken-filled zip loc and then place one zip loc inside one of the vegetable bags and then, to be extra sure, I place inside one of the plastic grocery bags. Triple bagging saves me the mess of cleaning my refrigerator!! I marinated the chicken in the morning and grilled late that afternoon and it all really turned out beautifully.... and I'm really not much of a barbeque sauce fan!
