I started with a ready-to-decorate kit from the grocery store but made royal icing with meringue powder because the stuff in the kit isn't tough enough to hold together the house. The rest of the decorations came from the candy aisle. The roof is roasted coconut. The frozen pond is foil. I found the ghosts on cocktail toothpicks! And the pumpkin lights strung on the house came from a dimestore necklace.
