I used 4 oz. pickled jalapeno slices since I did not have regular canned jalapenos. Between this and the 1 tsp. cayenne it was a bit hot and WE LIKE IT HOT. I toned it down by adding an extra can of chicken broth and an extra can of beans and readjusting the cumin and oregano. The whole family loved it and begged me to make it again! It was great with Baked Corn (another allrecipes favorite)
