Hasenpfeffer (Rabbit Stew)

Instead of stewing the rabbit on the stovetop for 1 1/2 hrs, I put it in the crockpot for 5 hrs. It turned out tender and very moist. I also added sliced carrots and quartered fresh mushrooms to the crockpot.
