Instead of serving the burgers on buns, I made them into patty melts. I flattened each burger, and put each between two slices of bread (buttered on the outside) along with sauteed onions, American cheese, mayonnaise and a bit of horseradish sauce. Then I grilled the sandwiches in a frying pan until the bread was golden brown and the cheese was melted. Delicious!
