This is the first time I have ever cooked dried beans and they turned out wonderful! I used a can of beer w/ tomato juice in it. It was the only beer I had. I also added some bacon and 2 fresh jalapeno peppers. My family loved it! Even the kids had seconds. I was the only one who had cilantro on top and it added another dimension to the flavor.
