I've read and heard about this before; traditional pumpkin pies made for birthday's. I made this for a guy friend who'd mother always did just that. I've always grown up around cakes for birthdays; so to personalize it, I used to extra dough (package of 2 pie crusts) and freehandedly carved out the lettering and the winchester 70 gun w/scope).
