A nice light cake recipe to use for creative cake pans. I had tired a Butter Cake Recipe but it was just to heavy and the back legs broke off. This is THE recipe for this cake pan. I had to use Bourbon Vanilla Sugar and Butter Vanilla Aroma instead of extract as I can not find it where I live in Germany. It made little difference. I splurged and used Kerry Gold Cream and I think that was the ultimate ingredient! Everyone raved over the cake and not just for how it was made and decorated. I decorated it further with iced sugar Cookies cut out with Sea critters, and used Swedish Fish, and Belgium Chocolates shapped like Seashells. All was served on top of Brown Cane sugar ("Sand").
